SOUNDSIDE PEARL | DUCK, NC | PORT TRINITIE COMMUNITY
If you've been searching for a Duck rental that actually delivers on its photos — one where the outdoor spaces work, the bedrooms are genuinely comfortable, and the water views are real — this is it.
Soundside Pearl is a six-bedroom, soundfront estate in Port Trinitie, one of the Outer Banks' most exclusive waterfront communities. It's designed for families, multi-generational groups, and gatherings that deserve a home worthy of the occasion.
WHY SOUNDSIDE PEARL STANDS APART Most large rental homes in the Outer Banks compete on bedroom count alone. Soundside Pearl competes on livability. Three distinct levels. Multiple gathering areas so the whole group isn't crowded into one room. A chef's kitchen that can actually accommodate group cooking. Outdoor spaces layered from ground to rooftop that you'll use every single day.
The soundfront setting isn't just a view — it's a different kind of Outer Banks experience. Calmer water. Peaceful mornings. The best golden-hour sunsets in Duck, seen from a rooftop deck above the tree line.
THE LAYOUT IN DETAIL
Top Level — Heart of the Home The top level is where your group will naturally gather. Vaulted ceilings, walls of windows overlooking the Currituck Sound, and an open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area designed for shared meals and easy conversation. Two king bedrooms on this level offer comfort for those who prefer to stay close to the main living spaces. Step through to the upper decks and rooftop-style outdoor areas — by far the most popular spots in the home.
Mid Level — Bedrooms & Secondary Living Four additional bedrooms on the mid level, including a bunk room that sleeps up to six children (the kids will fight over it), two queen bedrooms, and one additional king suite with en suite bath. A secondary living lounge with wet bar provides a quieter retreat — perfect for kids' downtime, early risers, or late-night conversations away from the main level. Deck access from this level as well.
Ground Level — Recreation & Pool The ground level connects the indoors to the outdoor experience. A game room and recreation area, a kitchenette for poolside drinks, and direct access to the private pool and hot tub. The transition from inside to outside is effortless — which is exactly how vacation should feel.

We loved this house. Very convenient to the beach, the Sound, tennis/pickle ball, biking trails and town. Great views of the Sound at sunset from the top deck. Just a very peaceful relaxing place to stay.
The house was large enough for 8 adults and one infant . Pool & hot tub added to the comfort of having not to go anywhere . Close to water activities, shopping ,dinning .
We had a great stay at this home. We had four adults, five teenagers and a child and everyone had plenty of room to spread out. There are three living areas in this house, plus tons of outdoor living space. All of the bathrooms were very recently remodeled which was a welcome surprise. The house is well located within an easy walk to the sound and to the beach. There were plenty of good restaurants within a 3 mile drive. Everything was exactly as we hoped and the owner was a great communicator. I highly recommend this house if you are traveling with a large group.
It was clean and well kept. It was beautiful. thank you for sharing this property and your island with us. We had stopped at the market to buy food the way in. It would have been nice to know that there was no soap in the bathrooms or showers. We had to go back.
We really enjoyed our stay at this house. So much space for everyone and very clean! The house was within a 5 minutes walk to the beach! Lots of restaurants nearby within a 5-10 min drive. We had a great time! Owner was very prompt in responding to all of our questions/requests. Will definitely be back!
This summer we were lucky enough to spend two wonderful weeks in Duck at your property!! It was so beautiful and so wonderful for our family. There was something for everyone!! The access to the beach was amazing, and the ability to use the pool immediately after visiting the beach was a perfect transition. We loved all the wrap around porches, and the views were stunning! We felt like we were in heaven. At one point, we were in need of steak knives and an electric can opener. Once we contacted the property management, we were swiftly provided with the items we needed. The house was so clean! It was so difficult to leave after our wonderful family vacation, and we will surely be booking this property again. Thank you for an amazing and memorable time in beautiful Duck, NC!!
Pros: This is a big house with ample bedrooms and bathrooms. It is near the main road but properly fenced in for privacy and has a reassuring alarm system. The pool is nice and well kept and was only a short walk down a private road to the beach! The WiFi, tvs, and plumbing worked well and we had no issues with those important things.
Cons: AC didn’t work on top level. The property manager sent an HVAC person over after day 1 and then ignored follow-up messages that it still wasn’t working until day 6. We left a day early because of the heat inside on the top level (where the two primary bedrooms and main kitchen/living room area is located).
My family commented that the outside of the house could use a power washing and be cleared of cobwebs, but that didn’t bother most of us.
The only other thing to be aware of is bringing necessary kitchen utensils and appliances. They have some random things, but they do not have a toaster or many pots/pans. So if you plan on cooking in a lot, bring what you need!
