Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Leave in a pile in hamper or bathroom. Start a load of towels if you would like - not a request! Leave beds alone - do not strip!
Remove all trash from house (kitchen, bathroom, etc) place in dumpster outside of house. Make sure all dishes are clean, dry and put away. 
Turn all lights off. Set AC to 74 in summer and Heat to 68 in the winter at departure. Lock all doors & windows at your departure. If a key was used please put it back in lockbox.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Perfect beach cottage on the water to fit us and another couple. Kitchen was very well stocked with any and every gadget needed! Outdoor area is perfect, pool, ping pong table, corn hole boards, hot tub, pier, kayaks, outdoor shower, and extra bathroom (which was a nice surprise)! Owner communicated well and was super easy to get in touch with, although nothing extra was needed.

Hidden Gem with all the amenities. If you are looking for a well-appointed, comfortable and beautiful place to stay around Duck, look no further. The house was phenomenal. The hosts were incredibly attentive and responsive. And then there are the sunsets. They were breathtaking. So peaceful and beautiful. I had never stayed on the sound side, but this stay completely changed my mind. We will certainly be back!

Great house and location. Really enjoyed having the pool and the hot tub available. The key pad to get in was a little tricky but the owner sent someone out right away to get that fixed and it perfect after that.
