"Our stay at Risonare was awful from start to finish. When we arrived they told us there would be a significant extra fee for our 1-year-old to stay with us (I was pretty sure we booked the reservation with a child included, but regardless, this is the only hotel out of 6 that we stayed at in Japan that charged extra for a child under 2 years old). "Fantastic breakfast service! I already miss the Japanese breakfasts with the variety. This hotel is extremely convenient. The Izumiotsu subway station is a short 4 minute walk away and the supermarket is only 3 minutes. The supermarket has a fantastic selection of ready-to-eat choices. "Very nice and clean hotel, you get the feeling of a luxury hotel from the moment you walk through the doors. Staff were all very kind and friendly. The room is very clean and has ample space overall - there were only a few hangers for your clothes but that wasn't much of an issue for us. We loved that we were within walking distance to Dotonbori as well as many other attractions. Entry to the train station is just outside the hotel as well which was very convenient. We will definitely be looking to stay at Hotel Monterey Grasmere Osaka again next time we are back!"

"We love the convenience of where this hotel was located. Everything we loved was inside the hotel. Tully coffee shop and Lawsons was our go too. The restaurants that were on city walk were accessible from inside the hotel, which was nice. Universal Studios entrance was just next to the hotel. They also provide free drinks in the lobby. The rooms are big and clean. I also did the hotel massage which they come to you and do your massage in your room. It was about $50 usd I paid. Overall staff were so helpful and nice. Breakfast was really good. A variety of good options. We love the French toast, pancakes and eggs!!! Totally recommend if you are going to Universal studios."

"This is a lovely hotel in the middle of the entertainment district of Namba and within easy walking distance to Dotonbori. There are numerous great restaurants and bars close by and Namba walk with all its shopping is approx 50 metres from the hotel. You can easily walk from Namba Station via the underground walkway which makes it very convenient depending on weather. The hotel has complimentary laundry facilities and the guest lounge is great with complimentary alcohol and snacks. The buffet breakfast is delicious with a variety of food options but at 3,600 yen per person there are cheaper options nearby."

"We booked two rooms and both rooms are very clean, modern, spacious and beautifully decorated. The location of the hotel is perfect for us, it is near Namba park, quiet, safe but still within walking distance to transportation. There are many shoppings, cafes and dining options around the areas. This is our 2nd time staying at this hotel. We will definitely choose this hotel again when we visit Osaka in the future. Highly recommended!"

"The room was clean and well organized, which I appreciated. However, the biggest downside was the strong unpleasant odor in the room. There was a musty, stale smell that made the air feel far from fresh, and we found ourselves using air freshener throughout our stay just to make the room more comfortable. If the hotel could address the odor issue and improve the air quality in the rooms, it would greatly enhance the overall guest experience. Unfortunately, the smell was difficult to ignore and significantly impacted our stay."
