"The hotel is comfortable but needs a bit of an upgrade. Our room had a lovely four poster bed but the shower needed an upgrade. Evening meal was disappointing."

"We stayed in the Love Haven which was lovely and we had a lovely stay but have to give a bad review on the basis we went to shower in the morning before check out and noticed water was dripping through one of the lights downstairs. We immediately turned it off due to health and safety. When we reported to reception we were told oh yeah maintenance know about it but it’s a big job. When I queried this being a health and safety issue, I did not get a response. They also did not seem bothered that we had not been able to shower before check out. This just ruined the whole stay that our safety had not been considered but it did not seem to be a problem for them "

"Room was clean and refurbished but let down by the bathroom The toilet was badly located and toiletries insufficient ( particularly as there was nowhere to shower in spa) due to no changing rooms being available Parts of the hotel have been refurbished and are lovely although often just superficial but the other parts are very tired and and unloved. Spa - the areas which were available were very good and clean but again doors were lacking in cleanliness and if you look closer corners are missed and left unclean Breakfast - was ok choice was fair but coffee was extremely poor. All staff who we interacted with were very pleasant and friendly - particularly Michelle on reception and the lady in spa at 4.30 Overall wonderful location - mainly clean and friendly staff I appreciate there is a lot of refurbishment happening with the spa and infinity pool - but it does appear that other areas are in decline."

"Stayed in a pod with hot tub, great use of space and logs provided for the burner. Outside area could benefit from some small touches like solar fairy lights, dry seating cushions and maybe robes. Fabulous sleep, so tranquil, great breakfast, good selection and tasty , hot food. Swimming pool was out of use, no partial refund was offered. Overall a very pleasant stay."

"Had a great stay at The Rybeck, Nice rooms and lounge area, super friendly staff, breakfast great and food in restaurant was fantastic, great views over Windermere, would definitely stay again. "
