"Very friendly and helpful staff, simple and filling breakfast provided. Though a small hotel with a cafe, the room is cozy yet large enough for a whole family of 4-5 with all the amenities provided. It’s near the train station and a large 7-11 with surrounding good food and walking distance to all the places of interest. Although there’s no elevator, the staff had helped to bring up our luggage to the room as we explored Yufuin, since check in is after 4pm. Check out is very late though, till 5pm, hence it’s great for those who want to explore more or just make use of the onsen or lounge. Overall a very satisfying stay and highly recommended!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Yufuin Hoteiya. The check-in was very warm and welcoming, especially thanks to Oda-san. We loved our private onsen, and both the kaiseki dinner and breakfast were outstanding. One of the highlights was making popcorn in the hearth (Yoppite) room—such a fun and memorable touch. Service throughout our stay was impeccable, including the convenient drop-off service provided by the staff. The location is also excellent: an easy walk from Yufuin Station, with lots of charming shops along the way, and just a short stroll to Lake Kinrin. We truly enjoyed our time here and hope to come back again. "

"I loved everything about the Yufuin Bettei Itsuki. The staff had amazing service. We stayed in the Sakura room and it was perfect. The 2 onsens were so great. We added on the Kaiseki breakfast and dinner and everything was so delicious! I hope to stay here again in the future. "

Hotel room is clean and comfortable, and the private onsens are really great for relaxing. Dinner and breakfast are really must try in my opinion. Staffs are all very friendly and helpful too."

"Sunny and the other staff were so wonderful, they helped with laundry, directions around town, taxis and so on. The rooms are large and comfortable, the upstairs terrace is lovely; all the American and Japanese toys from the last fifty years on display are fascinating; roomy, clean kitchen with pleasant, quiet and restful common room area"

"Beautiful, traditional Japanese style rooms provide an authentic experience. We enjoyed the breakfast. They did their best to accomodate my wife's gluten free diet needs. The family onsens were a nice option for privacy."
