This is a tired outdated motel. A sign advertised it was for sale. It needs considerable investment. The restaurant was closed. Room carpet was dirty, incl a dead insect on the floor. Bed at least was comfy and linen clean. Room smelled of stale air and masking air freshener. There are no outside windows, the windows open onto an enclosed verandah. To vent the room, the door needed to be open. This was a 'superior' room with a supposed sea view, only possible from the shared verandah, which also had a stale air smell. Kingston SE is dead from early evening, very limited choice of restaurants. It wasnt even cheap. My advice, avoid and stay in Robe.

The restaurant on site was closed. The balcony for our room was not what I would consider a balcony but a long gallery with large windows that many rooms could access. Outlets were few and hard to access. There was guest laundry - reasonably priced - a big plus.

Although there were 2 beds in the room (1 × single & 1 x double) the double bed was jammed up against a wall & was very restricted. I honestly felt like kicking the brick wall down in the middle of the night as between that and my partner in the double bed was very restricted & limited by the wall. The rooms w this layout should not be advertised as a double, rather 2 singles. And also i thought it was unreasonable to insist upon an additional $15 charge if the single bed was used!!! Its clearly priced at the budget end - so advertise that aspect properly. Also the TV only had 4 functioning channels - two of them for kids - which i had to retune and there were v limited powerpoints. Lady on front counter was helpful & pleasant.

The manager is lovely however the motel is in dire need of upgrade and the daily servicing of the room was done at the bare minimum. Bathroom tap was constantly dripping. Dishes were left on the sink unwashed. Toilet appeared to not be freshened up throughout our stay. Location is very good.

did not like anything key did not work without a lot of effort. we booked the motel because it had a restaurant to find it was closed. will not go back. bathroom had what looked like and smelt like mould in deteriorating corner.

We had a pleasant 2 night stay at Lacepede Bay Motel mostly thanks to Kelly, the manager who made this possible. Nothing was too much for her. Would definitely stay again.

The owner was super friendly and the room was clean and well presented. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back again. Close to all shops and the beach. a great spot!

I liked that the motel was situated along the waterfront, close to the jetty, in a very walkable area of lovely historical buildings in a beautifully revitalized area of town. Was disappointed the on-site restaurant was not in operation when we were there, but there were lots of other restaurants within walking distance or could be accessed via the motel’s own shuttle bus. Nice.

There was a terrible smell from the bathroom. Could’ve been caused by the flooding in the back ups from the sea but it was almost unbearable. There was nowhere locally to get food. All in all a very basic experience

Hi John,We are sorry for your comments that are out of the motels control, yes unfortunately we do encounter the sea smell due to weather here occasionally. Getting food locally has never normally been an issue, there are plenty of places open including our 24 hour service station.Kind Regards.We are a quiet seaside town

Thank You Lorraine, we do have cords etc and would have been more than happy to lend all needed for your machine, please ask our friendly staff in reception next time. Unfortunately leaving to many cords or plugs in the rooms gets them taken.
