"The property is run down. The breakfast selection was poor and the food was mediocre, nothing special. The staff was rude and not helpful in any way. The restaurants at the resort closed early and only had one cook so would get backed up and not take orders. We didn’t eat most days. They didn’t offer shuttles anywhere and we were told to take taxis for things as small as toothpaste. We didn’t have a phone in our room and room service was not available. The ac broke on day 3 and we placed the DND sign on the door and housekeeping still went inside our room and some of our valuables came up missing. The front desk didn’t know anything we asked and even when I pressed for information I was directed to look online for answers. Some of the staff allowed people they knew to bring guests in. One woman brought a group of special needs clients that she was watching for work. So the vibe of the resort shifted to more of an adult daycare facility. Also there is no water sports, only 4 kayaks. I could go on and on. This was a complete disaster. I would not recommend and will not be returning."

"The rooms in the great house were spacious and had great views. The breakfast was also really great, but we did not like the coffee which is a big deal for us but we found a good cafe in town. The terrace restaurant had great food, great views, great service. The mermaid for lunch was ok and the service wasn’t great. We had a great time on St Croix and we would stay at the Buccaneer again."

"Our stay at The king Christian hotel was awesome. It was beautiful there & the staff that checked us in were kind and courteous but the staff that relieved that staff were the complete opposite. We arrived Thursday after 6 & the last and male front desk were a delight but the ones that worked the next day in the morning had horrible attitudes."

"This place is absolutely stunning. One of the best views I saw on the entire island. Nothing beats walking out of a nice room to a beautiful ocean front balcony. The staff were insanely accommodating. Provided coolers, towels, ice, chairs, etc. If I return to this island, I will 100% be staying here again. Room is cleaned every day and water bottles replenished. No complaints."

"This property is one of a kind! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sea View Play. The bedroom layout was great for our group and common areas were large to accommodate multiple hang out spots for kids and adults. It was very convenient to have two kitchens for meal prep by the two families.Our host Rob was great and always available for questions or recommendations for activities or dinner. Don’t pass this property up and book in advance as it is one of the most popular spots on the island."
