"My family did not get to attend our trip due to flight issues, not the fault of the resort. However, I have spent a week trying to get a hold of them between Expedia support and calling directly to get a refund. They simply refuse to address the issue and have been holding thousands of dollars hostage despite acknowledging we never checked in nor were we there. It should have been as simple as “we’re sorry you had travel issues, we will refund you through Expedia” No comments on facility or amenities since we never actually got to see them."

The Buccaneer Beach & Golf Resort

"The Buccaneer is an old cattle ranch / sugar plantation converted into a beach/ golf resort. A beautiful setting. I prepaid for a room over a three day stay. At check-in, "Ben" said incidental room charges were $75 per day which would have been $225 on my debit card. I checked my account an hour later. My debit card was charged $2,000 for incidental room/ resort charges! What a shock! The room my wife and I stayed in had no hot water two days in a row ( cold showers ). Only on the third day the problem with the hot water heater was fixed. Hot water finally. The room had water stains on the ceiling that hadn't been fixed. The bathtub stopper was broken. Only showers could be taken. The tub stopper was replaced on the last evening I was there but still didn't work. The complementary breakfast was buffet style and everything was cold but the oatmeal ( cold eggs, cold bacon, cold sausage ). In my opinion, if you stay at this resort, be prepared to be over charged for everything. They say you get what you pay for. I paid a lot and got very little for my money. If I come back to St. Croix, I won't be staying at the Buccaneer to be overcharged for a room."

"We had a wonderful time while staying here for our vacation. The staff was professional, courteous, and extremely helpful with our questions about navigating the island. We enjoyed taking out the kayaks and using the snorkeling gear the hotel provided. The pool was warm and clean. The room was always cleaned when we needed it. Having beach towels provided was also a pleasant surprise. We stayed in an sea view room and we were impressed at the size of the room. The suite had plenty of space and comfortable chairs. We would highly recommend this resort! We can't wait to return!"

"This property was amazing. Our trip from the minute Austin met us at the airport until we closed the front door at the end of our trip was amazing. This property is beautiful. The listing doesn’t do it justice. The welcome dinner was delicious! The kitchen is well appointed and every room in the house has everything you need to make your trip successful. Everything was clean right down to the pool which by the way was delightful! The little beach is adorable and we had fun finding seaglass and wading in the water. This property made our trip so relaxing! It was very hard to leave. Thank you Stephanie for sharing your property with us! We hope to come back to visit soon. And thank you to Austin and his wife for making our trip extra special. "
