Everything you need in a great location

Short walk to the sound side for beautiful sunsets, very short drive to parking for beach and the private salt water pool is wonderful! They have everything you could possibly need stocked in the kitchen and the house is just beautiful. We enjoyed our time at the Sunsetter!

Great beach house

Beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood. Short drive to the beach and amenities. The pool makes the trip ! The owners were great. I highly recommend the Sunsetter

Great beach vacation for a family who loves the beach and pool!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying at this house with daily visits to the beach and time in the pool at the house. The pool is very nice and the house is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood near many restaurants and shops.

GREAT stay

Loved this property! Location was fantastic, lots of room, upstairs/downstairs extra apartment configuration allowed us to spread out, owners were super helpful and responsive and the pool was a big hit!

Joy with the Grandkids

The place was roomy enough for three families, and we had lots of fun in the pool, at the beach and exploring the area. There were a couple of issues, but we worked through them with the very friendly owners.

Great Stay

Our stay was great. Pool was nice and clean. Lots of places to sit and watch tv or play cards/games inside and out. Nice gas grill and lots of beach chairs. Great A.C. Kitchen had everything. I liked the neighborhood and it was a great place to take runs and walks along the bay drive. Owners were more than accommodating and friendly and responsive.

Wonderful Family Vacation!

We recently stayed at the Sunsetter the week of August 12, 2023 and had a wonderful family vacation. We all enjoyed the pool, especially my teenage son and his friend. Very quiet neighborhood and well appointed house. Easy check in and out and the owners were very quick to response to questions. Only disappointment was the outside shower was out of service, but we easily used the hose to rinse off after the beach. Would definitely stay again!

Great for families

Family loved that there are basically two units in this house. Helped with quiet place for a baby. I never really thought you would use a pool much at the ocean but grandchildren absolutely loved it.

It’s all there

Amazing house. We stayed about 4 years ago and even though it was nice then, the recent remodel made it SO much better. Everything is new and beautifully decorated. Location is quiet yet close to a public beach access that is uncrowded. Never had trouble finding parking. Pool is amazing especially in an area where many houses don’t have one. Property manager/owner is very nice and very responsive. Had a fabulous week! Perfect house for 6 people and could have definitely fit more + it didn’t break the bank either.

Great place to get away for a week

Convenient location, great pool, and lots of space to spread out. Visited with my wife and my parents, the separated floors were great as I wake up a lot earlier than everyone. The convenience of the pool can't be overstated - great way to wake up and spend the evening hours. Kitchen has everything you need for cooking, grilling, even steaming (we caught some blue crabs and steamed them on the outside grill). Great spot, very communicative owners.

The Sunsetter has character

The house is very cozy and comfortable. The pool is a great time waiting to happen. Only a few minutes away from the beach. Overall, my family and I enjoyed the stay very much. Definitely will consider going back. Adrian

The house is in a residential neighborhood. It is a close walk to the sound to watch the Sunsets.

The house was fine. The saltwater pool was the best feature :) The traffic getting in and out in Kill Devil Hills was a little tricky due to needing to get onto the main road. It is a 10 minute walk to the Sound to watch the nightly Sunsets. This is a good place to stay with family members.

Outer Banks family vacation

We had a great time on vacation. The pool was amazing! We enjoyed walking to the bay side for sunsets and driving to the ocean side for sunrises. The bay side has walking path to a public pier to walk out over the water. The beach is an easy walking distance but you must cross a 4 lane highway so we drove to Hayman Beach Access with a nice parking area and lifeguard on duty at beach. The house worked well for our family of 8.

Perfect Fall Beach Getaway!!!!!

Stayed here last fall and looking forward to this fall to spend a relaxing time with friends. Accommodations are just like home, but you are at the beach. Very comfortable and relaxing. The pool is fantastic, and with the solar cover keeping the water warm, we think you could probably swim on Christmas Eve. The location is very close to restaurants and attractions, yet the neighborhood is very quiet. Short drive to the beach for some great fall surf fishing. Can't wait to get back.

Expected more for my money.

Was disappointed, not very clean, old and outdated. Owner was very nice we had an early check in. Enjoyed the pool and the beach. House needs a major cleaning will leave it at that.

Exactly as advertised

Everything was exactly as advertised, no surprises. Communication with the owner was available anytime I needed something. The “little things” that are included were great; extra trash bags, bath tissue, linens, towels/wash clothes, soaps, etc. All around a fantastic property and easy transaction. I was amazed at how well the solar cover heated the pool during the day and maintained the heat in the evening.

Bright, clean, and comfortable

This home suited us well...the second and third floors had plenty of room for our larger family, and the first floor suite gave the grandparents a little quiet and privacy when they needed it. The pool was great also. It was big enough for all of us, and the LED lights made it so much fun at night! The house was well-stocked too - it was nice to have beach chairs, an umbrella, pool toys, books and games, and a furnished kitchen. Nice quiet neighborhood for walking along the bay path - overall, an excellent location. The owners communicated well and answered any questions that we had very quickly. It was just as advertised and we'd highly recommend this house!

Good for all ages

The property is in a quiet neighborhood that while walkable for most was a bit too far for the 4yo in our group so we ended up buying a wagon for him to ride in which was perfect. The furnishings are casual which was great with 4 kids. Having the pool was a huge plus. The listing states that the bedroom on the main floor has a queen bed but it's really a double/full which while it didn't matter to us might to another group. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and the property also has as beach chairs, a rolling cooler and an assortment of books, puzzles and outdoor games for guest use.

Almost Heaven

It was everything they said it was as far as perfect location, wonderful pool and perfect house for a group. The only reason it is a 4 was that it was not cleaned as well as it could or should of been. This may not be the fault of the owners because they do ask the renters to do a cleaning before they leave. I know it was cleaner after we left. Again, it was a great house and had no issues with communication. Would rent this house again in a heartbeat and recommend it to my friends and family..
