Great location

Great location for a mini break away. Very short walk to town centre for shops, pubs/restaurants etc. amazing proximity to the lake, short drive if you would like to tackle Scafell Pike. Nice size apartment on second floor for two people and a dog

Perfect Base for a Relaxing Week in the Lakes

A fantastic week’s stay again at Gretaside Apartment in Keswick. The apartment was spotless, well-equipped, and very comfortable — it felt like a real home-from-home. The bed was especially comfy after long days walking, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches and a well-stocked kitchen. The location is ideal — just a short walk into the centre of Keswick, but in a quiet and peaceful spot with beautiful views of the surrounding fells. We had no problem with parking, and it was a great base for exploring the Lake District. Communication with the host was excellent — everything was clear and easy from booking to check-in. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a cosy, convenient place to stay in Keswick.

lovely cottage in centre of Keswick

The booking process was easy. The info provided by Keswick Cottages regarding location, parking and key entry was all clear and easy to understand. The Gretaside accommodation was clean and well presented and everything in it was a high standard. The welcome pack and dog treats were a lovely touch. Its a very central property but also nice and quiet, only the sound of the river babbling away in the background. I'd happily book with Keswick Cottages again or recommend to friends.

Brilliant experience

We had a short but very enjoyable stay in this excellent accommodation. Keswick was amazing and we also explored Ambleside and took the boat down Windermere to Bowness. On the two brief occasions I spoke to staff they were professional, proficient and very personable and, need I say it, helpful. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The apartment was great , small but ideal for 2 and a dog . It was very clean and the welcome packs were much appreciated . The location was superb , central and not far from the beautiful park. The fact it had a parking space was very useful too. We wouid definitely recommend Keswick cottages as a booking agent , the digital guidebook and their customer service was excellent , we would definitely book via them again .

Our short break in Keswick

The apartment was excellent. Very clean and comfortable and the location for the town was great as just a few minutes walk. Also, we have a dog and the location of Fitz Park (behind the apartment) was great and again only a few minutes walk. I would highly recommend this for a couple.

4 day stay in Keswick mid September

We had a fabulous few days at Gretaside the weather was hot and sunny the whole stay. The apartment was comfortable, quiet and well equipped, a stones throw from the centre of Keswick and the location near to the park was a bonus for us as we have a dog. A small cosy apartment suitable for a couple and dog. We would be happy to stay here again.

This is a very comfortable apartment situated in a great location, very convenient for the town centre yet tucked away in a quiet corner overlooking the river. It's quite small but fine for a couple. Got a good night's sleep as it was so quiet and peaceful. Nice to be able to go out and walk along by the river.

Little Gem in central Keswick

Gretaside is a lovely little apartment with parking in central Keswick. It’s homely, warm and very well situated. It’s lovely to hear the sound of the river whilst drifting off to sleep. We had a great weekend here and would highly recommend both the property and Keswick Cottages.

Short Break

Gretaside was a new to me accommodation as I usually stay in regular self catering apartments. As an ex self catering owner always have a critical eye, needn’t have worried. An absolutely lovely comfortable apartment with everything you need. Clean and modern and an absolutely lovely view of the river and fells beyond from the bedroom, really comfortable bed. Great location with parking two mins walk into town centre.

Great Location and View

Small but very nice 1 bedroom apartment. Bedroom is a bit cramped for two, but overflow can go in the living room! Bed is quite firm, but good. Kitchen is well appointed and functional. When turning on shower use a firm pull on the switch cord.

2nd time of staying here, a small but comfortable flat, dog friendly and a parking space for the car. The view out of the bedroom window over the river and Fitz park is fantastic. Ideal for 2 people who do not need a lot of room and fairly fit as it is on the top floor. It is clean and well equipped. Very close to the town Center and amenities. We love it and hopefully will stay again sometime soon.

Few days away in Keswick

The dog and I had a very pleasant stay in the flat that is on the top floor. This overlooks the river and Fitz park, great for walking the dog first thing and last thing at night. It was lovely and peaceful and very handy for the town and Derwent Water. The shower is not very powerful but otherwise but otherwise everything else is very comfortable.

Gretaside - just perfect

Compact and bijou but with everything we needed for our 4 night stay in Keswick :-) A cosy space for the two of us with the space put creatively to use. The apartment is in a lovely quiet location with parking and a short walk from the town. Great views from the bedroom over Fitz Park to Latrigg Fell and the River Greta bubbling away soothingly underneath our bedroom window was just lovely. Thank you for the Welcome Pack too ! We would definitely stay here again

Short stay at Gretaside

We stayed here for 3 nights in November. The location is excellent, central to Keswick, with excellent private parking included. The property is small but big enough for our needs. And is well decorated throughout. It was very clean and well looked after and I look forward to staying here again in the future as long as they don’t increase their prices. Would defiantly recommend to any couple looking for a small convenient place to stay in Keswick. The place we stayed was on the second floor so would not suit anyone who maybe couldn’t manage two flights of stairs.

Great location and spotlessly clean

Gretaside is in a marvellous location, we parked up and didn't use the car again as everything is accessible by foot. The apartment is smaller than it appears on the pictures, but it is very well appointed and so clean and tidy, for 2 people and a dog, it was perfect. The only criticism we had is that we found the bed to be very uncomfortable, it is very hard, and by the second day my back was painful, so much so that we decided not to stay on our third night and drove home earlier than planned. The mattress is extremely firm and hard, and it didn't suit us at all, it spoiled what would have been the perfect stay.
