Couldn’t think of a critique , such a relaxing resort. Staff was impeccable. My wife and I stayed 3 nights, there wasn’t a moment we weren’t impressed. The buffets were great, there were activities constantly and the staff was so attentive. Special shout out for Neema in the buffet area, Joseph at the beach area and Ali the groundskeeper. Thanks for such an amazing experience

Nice hotel with a good location on a large sand beach which is also quiet busy and lot of people coming to see you to sell you stuff as soon as you go towards the water. The services are complete, the food was quite good. Still expensive for what it is. For half the price of a classic room with garden we managed to stay in a villa with private pool sea view and very high standards.

We stayed at Gold Zanzibar for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect! We booked a garden villa and it was so spacious, and the private plunge pool was very fun to have. All of the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our butler, Jackeline, was so helpful and friendly! They also gifted us a bottle of champagne and fruit on our arrival which was so nice. There are shows with dinner every night which are really wonderful, and the buffet options are PHENOMENAL! We had a full body wrap and massage at the spa which was lovely, and went on a spice tour and sunset dhow cruise organized through the hotel which were fabulous! The hotel also gifted us a private romantic dinner on the beach and the sunset dhow cruise as honeymoon gifts which was very generous. The beach is beautiful, and it is so nice to have the private cabanas as where the public portion of the beach starts can be a bit hectic and crowded. Highly recommend staying here!

Resort itself is excellent and clean within the compound. Buffet menu changes all the time and offers plenty of varieties with many cooking stations. Staff was very friendly and considerate, and managers came around and greeted us everyday. They noted from registration that my daughter's birthday was coming up so they decorated a special table with blue beads just for us. There were plenty of activities and nightly entertainment. Our suites were very spacious and layout showcases local architecture. Overall we are very happy with our experience.

Food was excellent, and the theme nights were enjoyable. Pool was great and beach area was beautiful. The unit we booked was not available at check in, due to a plumbing issue--the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with the less expensive unit we received. Money was refunded to me. The best part of this resort experience was the service and genuine desire each staff member had to make us feel welcome.

Was expecting a nice experience based on the type of beachfront room we selected. Both of our butlers were extremely helpful including Salim helping me discourage my extremely stubborn gf (who can’t swim!) from taking a kayak out on a very windy and wave filled day. She was not listening to me at all - and his assistance was above and beyond. Additionally, Anthony, the restaurant staff, facilities and especially the food was outstanding! Far exceeded our expectations. Having been in the sales and marketing business I have attended my share of buffet style meals. Every night GB treated us to something different and delicious. You won’t want/need to eat anywhere else! Last add. I don’t drink alcohol but I’m a bit addicted to zero sugar Coca-Cola. I asked for the mini bar to stock them up a bit. Every day we were there included 3-4 extras. Never needed to ask again. And try the hibiscus iced tea. Out of this world!

The grounds are well kept and beautiful. We had a suite beach view with pavillon, which is a bit of a mis-conception because in front of your pavillon is an area of sand then the large swimming pool and then the beach and sea which you cannot actually see! The suite itself was lovely. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It was our 29th wedding celebration and unfortunately on the night my husband was ill and I had to go to dinner on my own. They had decorated the table and had a cake prepared for us. The following night there was a BBQ on the beach, all the tables set out with candlelight, very pretty. Food was plentiful but - I had a chicken kebab which was cooked on the outside and raw in the middle! I pointed this out to the waitress when she removed our plates but she did nothing. My husband spoke to the maitre de who was very concerned and also bought her manager over to speak to us. They spoke to the chef who had cooked the chicken and all were very apologetic. To make amends the following evening they provided us with the Romantic dinner on the beach which was really lovely. We had our celebration cake and about 6 members of staff sang to us. The main buffet restaurant had a good selection of food and a pasta station. At breakfast again there was a good selection of pastries, a fresh egg station, toast and cereals. The all inclusive package is very restrictive with spirits and only one choice of red,white or rose wine.

Nice place, standard on the rooms and area is good not as on the pictures. Your are not able to Swim on the beach without shoes due to all sea urchins which is very sad and frustrating. The hotel is a low 4 star hotel. We expected higher standard based on pictures and description on the website but it was still good/ok

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gold Zanzibar. On entering the grand reception we were greeted by very welcoming staff and felt the stress of our 15 hour travel melt away. During our stay we dined on the finest cuisines like tasty curried crab and desserts that were great on the eye. During our stay staff were always helpful, friendly and genuinely very nice people. I'd like to mention some great personalities, Abu, Salim, Basho, Kombo and Masoud they really made our stay amazing. We visited in June 2023 and thoroughly recommend Goldie )as the locals call this great resort). The only negative for us was the evenings entertainment. It finished way too early for our liking however this is a minor detractor.

Notre séjour s'est très bien passé. L'hôtel est vraiment top et le service y est irréprochable. Le buffet pour le dîner est très bon et change souvent. la plage de l'hôtel est parmi les plus belles de l'île. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir!!
