"We could not have found a better location for a 3 generation trip! The house was equipped with everything we needed for beach outings, cooking and generally relaxing! We lucked out with not only a lovely view of he ocean but we also saw lots of whales!Our hosts were readily available but not intrusive. We loved the beach updates of where seals and turtles could be seen!The proximity to uncrowded beaches was a definite plus and finding the coffee shop "Milk and Honey" within walking distance was a highlight that should not be missed.If we decide not to explore another island on our next trip to Hawaii, we will be returning to Hale La. "House in Kekaha was perfect; has everything you needed to be comfortable. Communication with host was great. You’re very close to a great beach good for surfing or swimming. The town itself is very small and quiet, but you’re close to Waimea with more dining options, if needed. Would definitely stay again. "

"The beach house/old plantation home exceeded our expectations. Lots of room for four couples with multiple, shady lanais. The home has been very nicely renovated, keeping the heritage components intact. We made good use of the saltwater pool and enjoyed the upper lanai for sunsets. Highly recommended and would love to return."

"Home was a bit older. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms were in a seperate building which was inconvenient, but ok. All of this was upfront in VRBO. The home was difficult to find at night...use maps. We bought groceries only to find the bbq was out of propane - messed up a well planned dinner. The home was clean and living area and lanai was nice but close to highway noise. In all, we thought it was ok but could find a better place for the money and a bit more money would offer nicer locations."
