Great House for groups or couples, room to spread out and be together for meals etc.
Great location, clean and comfortable.
Photos were accurate, check in instructions easy to follow and beds were comfortable.
We loved the size of the house and the big kitchen and dining area. Firepit was great too. Internet was slow so projector couldn't connect to streaming services.
Wendy and Wayne have thought of everything. The property is exceptionally fitted out and decorated. Everything you could need and more for a weekend away. The place is huge with multiple living areas, a fireplace and very generously sized bedrooms. Our new favourite place in the Blue Mountains.
The house was amazing there were 13 of us more than enough room for all of us. Kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of heating with a beautiful fire. Beds were really comfy. Location was absolutely perfect close to the 3 sisters and the Main Street both in walking distance. The owners were prompt and efficient with their correspondence. We will certainly stay there again. Thank you.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, so much space to cater for two families. Everything was thought of with modern updates to the house - a beautiful home and so close to local cafes and shops.
Was a cold and damp weekend so the cozy wood fire was very much appreciated - so many heating options!
We thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary grazing box provided upon arrival. We just wish we had added another day to our stay.
Thank you Wendy and Ying.
A perfect spot to stay for our 3x couples attending the recent Blues Festival. The house is large and has plenty of room to prepare food, dine at the long bench table and relax on the modular lounge. 2 off road car spaces. Marked down the review in cleanliness due to dozens of dead flies, spiderwebs and the dryer filter having a huge build up of fluff. Contacted the owners re the flies who responded quickly to say they would look into this. Apart from this we were very happy and would stay here again.
We had a great weekend at Waratah House. The house was large enough for our group of 8 adults/6 kids to enjoy and not be on top each other.
The bunk room with projector & screen was a hit with the kids!
The house is right in the heart of Katoomba. Easy walk to the shops and close to the 3 Sisters and Leura Cascades if bushwalking is your thing.
There was a small issue on check-in, in that the previous guests hadn't put out the garbage bins so they were full, but it was very easy to contact Wendy and the issue was sorted out quickly.
Would recommend for a large family/friend group for a great stay in the mountains. We'll be back!
We had a lovely time and loved the house and location. The only comments we had was there didn’t seem to be enough towels, especially a lack of hand towels, for our group. Also we were surprised about the $80 charge for the little dog that stayed one night. It may have been mentioned in your listing and we missed it. Just though pet friendly wouldn’t have include such a high fee in a listing. Thanks
Great property a short walk to restaurants / brewery / cafes. House was brilliantly setup - bedrooms were all spacious with excellent beds and quality linen. Kitchen was a highlight, well fit out with everything you need to cook a feast.
Heating was brilliant once we read the instructions - especially given the unseasonably cold weather.
Only very minor complaints (nit picking really)
1 - cleaning items like a broom/dustpan that weren’t for the fireplace would have been useful.
2 - TV did not seem to have an aerial (or we may have been using it incorrectly), which meant everything had to be streamed, the house wifi had poor signal due to the distance to the router/modem so we had to hot spot to our phones to stream anything reliably. Granted there was a projector setup near the router - but away from the main living area so was not used.
Otherwise an excellent setup and we would definitely stay again!
