We enjoyed our stay at Shima Kanko Hotel Classic Mie! Our stay was very relaxing and we appreciate the service provided by the staff. The room was very spacious! The Hotel is situated on a hill and the view is really beautiful. However, we find the food in the restaurant a bit pricey but very good. Overall, our trip to Mie and our stay to Shima Kanko Hotel Classic was very enjoyable and memorable.

The hotel is in a nice location near the water, at the end of the train line at Kashikojima. There aren’t many food options in the small village. It seemed very quiet at the hotel and some of the surrounding properties seemed abandoned, so it felt a bit dated and not a popular area anymore. We liked the peace and quiet, but this might not be to everyone’s taste. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we were given a large room with plenty of space.

Excellent hotel, nice people servicing!

A rather unique staying experience at a spacious log house and one you'd want to be bringing friends along to. Absolutely excellent value for money, just inconvenient to get to (car/taxi basically mandatory). --- I went with enough people that we booked 2 of the standard quadruple bed rooms. Since these rooms are actually two halves of the same cabin (unlike the private villas), we basically had the whole cabin to ourselves. Staff were very nice and most helpful would visit again

A very cute and traditional Japanese hotel, which is conveniently located right next to the JR train station. The property itself has done well to maintain its structure (nearly 100 years old). We really enjoyed the service and the experience that it offers, including the free breakfast (which is quite good quality). The major downside is perhaps the shared bathroom and toilet in some of the smaller rooms (which we booked). Not having access to your own shower and toilet is indeed a bit of a...
