Great Place

Great place to stay, the owners were responsive to questions and their check in list made everything easy. Cute place with all the basic things you need for a vacation- chairs, umbrellas, snorkels for the beach. Well supplied kitchen- love that it has a BBQ on the unit.

A Great Stay!

This was a wonderful place to stay for our first visit to the big island. It was centrally located with access to everything from shops and restaurants to beautiful beaches, hiking and interesting drives. This home is exactly as pictured and is extremely well appointed and very quiet. We would definitely stay here again!

Mauni Lani golf villa

The villa is lovely with all needed amenities. The location is very good with easy access to several high end golf courses. Would rent again.

Quiet and relaxing stay

We had an excellent stay at the Golf Villas at Mauna Lani. The condo worked great for our family, it had everything that we needed and more. The owners were friendly and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend a vacation here!

Lovely getaway

Unit as described - very comfortable. Kitchen incredibly well stocked. Lowest A/C setting 73F - felt ok with fans at night. Outdoor grill works great. Loved access to Mauna Lani beach.

A little piece of heaven on the Kona Coast

A beautiful condo with a complete kitchen and all the necessary items for cooking for a group, then relaxing around the pool or taking the short drive to the private beach. Absolutely no problem getting to the beach, and it is perfect - one of the best snorkel spots on the Kona coast. We loved our stay and will do it again, am sure. Superb Location!

We love the Mauna Lani area and come back again and again. This property was good with a couple of maintenance issues that prevented us from using one of the bathrooms fully. Other than that, it was clean and had enough space for the three of us. Thank you!

Rocky start...good ending

The start was rocky because the owner sent the gate and door codes to the wrong email address and i didn't realize we didn't have them intil we were on the way to the house....she called me back right when we were at the gate. After that issue, everything went smoothly and we had a great time

Great Location!

We have been coming to the Big Island for 40 years and this is our favorite location. The Kohala Coast has the best beaches on the island and the Golf Villas at Mauna Lani is a small quiet development close to them all. It has beautiful views of the golf course and the mountains. The grounds and pool area are beautifully maintained. This particular unit has everything you need for a comfortable stay including beach access to nearby Beach Club Beach. The only issue we had was with the internet and the owners were sending someone out right away to work on it. Thank you Marsha and Dean for sharing your piece of paradise with us. We will be back!

Great location and amenities

Marsha and Dean's place was a fun surprise for my family, as we had never stayed in the area north of Kona. Marsha was super flexible and helpful in her communications ahead of the trip. We had one snafu with the wi-fi and she was very responsive. The welcome gift and note was very thoughtful. The condo itself is spacious and well stocked. My favorite part was the ground-floor patio, where I was able to read and seek protection from the sun and wind. As with any short-term rental that has a steady stream of visitors, there are a few maintenance items that could be resolved, but didn't really impact our stay. It may be helpful to note that the primary bedroom's bed is quite high off the floor and this was a bit of a challenge. Beds weren't the most comfortable, but everyone has a different sleeping style/need so you can't please everyone! The unit was very clean and it was also very, very quiet. This is super important for us! We really appreciated the amenities that felt above and beyond what I've seen in other rental units. The washer/dryer was in the unit and was so helpful. There were many extra towels, including beach towels. The unit had beach chairs, boogie boards, floaties, etc. What a delight! The Mauna Lani property was just beautiful. The pool in the Golf Villas section was probably the nicest pool that I've been to because of the shape and the beautiful landscaping. It was also really quiet (except for my child, who is very well-behaved but is still a kid :) ). The trade winds meant the beach was super windy a few days, so we were glad to have the pool so that we could still be outside and in the water. We LOVED the private beach. It was so low key and easy to use. The snorkeling was the best we've had just off a beach. We really liked the walking paths around the property and it was fun to explore. The location is a bit far from Kona itself, but there are plenty of amenities in this upscale resort area. We spent a few days in Volcano before heading over and we thought it was nice to split up our trip that way. Overall, it was a really lovely stay and we appreciate that Marsha and Dean opened their home to my family. Thank you!

Lovely stay at Mauna Lani Golf Villas

This property is very nicely appointed. The unit was easy to access with the code. The instructions were very clear and accurate. The unit was very comfortable with a lot of seating, the kitchen had many appliances, utensils and cooking gear. The unit is very quiet. Though there were people above us, noise was not an issue. Our 15 year old son used the sofa bed and it was very comfortable. The pool area is very nice with many chairs and umbrellas. We used the gym and it had all the necessary equipment. The Beach Club was really a highlight. If you want to get a cabana, you have to arrive early. But, if you don't get it, there are chairs abound and shade from trees. There are also chairs and umbrellas in the garage so there is a lot of options. We also used the cooler. There is a restaurant at the Beach Club as well. Note that you will have to drive to the beach club as it is a bit far if you are carrying gear to the beach. Also, have to drive to the resort(s) stores as they are a bit far for a leisurely walk. Overall a beautiful property and very comfortable for our family of four.

Beautiful, well established condos around golf course. Comfortable for families. Close to private beach -great for our 3 yr old grandson. 4 miles from Hapuna which was nice for those of us a bit older. Outdoor grill works great, just close door and back windows to avoid smoke alarm going off. Updated fridge held all necessary condiments with room for food for two weeks. Well stocked kitchen pots etc. Washer door had closer issues, known to owner which was fixed in first week. Onsite maintenance folks did our first load of laundry and folded nicely - great service!. Didn't need AC as we just left windows open at night and during cooler part of the day. Big storm for a day was an interesting change from beautiful warm, sunny days. Recommend this condo!

Excellent stay for family of four

Super communicative hosts, unit was clean and as described! Washer was broken ahead of our visit so host let us know and offered to do our laundry should we have any. We didn’t need to take them up on this but it was a great service to offer. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the lanai and using the outdoor grill. Unit was well stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils and very clean. We cooked indoors a couple of times but each time we set off the fire alarms. That’s probably a very good thing for safety, but I don’t think our neighbors probably loved it. Easily solved by cooking on the grill and going out to eat. Great gated community, beautiful grounds and wonderful location. Kids had their pick of swimming gear and beach chairs—always a nice touch! We would stay again.

Wonderful unit

The place was larger than I expected, very well stocked, peaceful and quiet, and had a great view. The beach club was wonderful and we never had trouble parking. We also enjoyed the pool which had a great atmosphere and was even better than expected. Marsha was helpful and prompt to reply. Highly recommended :)

We love the Golf Villas and have stayed here for years. This Villa is the reason we continue to come back. E2 is clean, neat, orderly and stocked. It is the perfect location to the pool and they have tons of beach towels for guest use. It has ample dishes, pots and pans for use also. Check in and out is simple. Overall it’s a very nice stay and we stayed for 5 1/2 weeks without a problem!
