The place is centrally located, walking distance to oceanfront shopping and dining (less than a mile), a quarter mile to the closest beach. There’s very nice little cafe just three houses up the street. Short drive to everything.
The hosts are very nice and helpful. They live upstairs, but the whole first floor is yours, including a private lanai, so there’s no privacy issue.
We liked pretty much everything about the place, but there are a couple of things to keep in mind.
There’s no AC (with plenty of breeze, windows, and ceiling fans we were comfortable at all times, but just be aware).
There are a lot of birds, and it may get loud in the morning with windows open (unless you are an early riser; I personally enjoyed the natural alarm). If you are lucky you may even get some fresh island chicken eggs for breakfast!
The street is kind of steep and there’s no sidewalk, so the last short stretch walking back from the village can be annoying, especially with a stroller.
The Roku TV is very slow. If you’re planning to watch TV consider bringing your own streaming device.
Overall, I recommend the place if you like it private but close to everything.
