I'll start off with location, this studio/complex is perfectly located in downtown Kailua-Kona, across from the Ocean and right next to restaurants, shops, small public beach/park and a farmers market. We enjoyed having a bunch of attractions within walking distance. Even a grocery store if you are up for the walk (15 min or so). But we had a car which leads to parking. Parking at the Kona Islander Inn Complex, was a little tricky as it gets filled up quickly. However we did not mind parking on the street, it felt safe and we had no issues. The complex itself is BEAUTIFUL, wouldn't even think it was in the middle of town, as its surrounded by luscious gardens, palm trees and banana trees. The pool, jacuzzi and grill area was lovely and freaking awesome. The staff was GREAT. The studio itself, was the perfect size for 2. A small kitchen, but we made do. Had all the necessary supplies to cook any meal really (coffee pot, 2 burner stove, plates, pans, knives, fridge freezer, tuppaware, grill stuff etc..). Bathroom was small but did the job, plenty of mirrors to make the space feel bigger. Bed was COMFY!!! AC and ceiling fan worked great. View from the balcony was lovely and had a great sunset view (not ocean, but garden and palm trees). Beach Towels, Cooler, Beach Chairs, Pool Noodles were all there and able to use during your stay. I only have 1 con, and that was cleanliness of kitchen utensils. Since theres no dishwasher, make sure you give everything you use a good scrub before use. Since you never know how the previous tenets cleaned each item (some items had food stuck on it etc..) Also unit is on the 3rd floor so you have to climb up 3 flights of stairs, which didn't bother us. But it might bothers others if you are hauling, luggage, groceries and beach items up and down. But really thats me being nit picky. Everything was FANTASTIC here. Thank you for providing us with such a lovely stay. WE LOVED IT!
