Our second stay and we still love it!!!

This is our second long term stay at this property - you can see our prior review that we left March 25, 2020. Our views only changed for the better this time around. In addition to everything we mentioned last time, there had been a couple of nice enhancements to the property. There is a new dining table that easily seats eight people, the outside lanai was expanded making it better for cookouts, and there were some new items in the kitchen - all making a marvelous property even better. I won't repeat what all I said in our prior review - I think our return sums up our feelings pretty well. This is a wonderful property in a wonderful location with wonderful owners and managers. It is very comfortable for hosting guests as well as time for just a couple. We look forward to visiting again in the future! Steve

Perfect Location, Great Property

We stayed nearly two months in this property, and absolutely loved it. In fact, we are returning next year for three months! We had originally rented a unit at Alii Cove, but the owner sold the property and we were forced to find another place to stay. We luckily found this property as it was first being listed. We commented multiple times that we were glad the Alii Cove property sold since we liked this one so much. First, about the location. It is a little over a mile to walk into downtown Kailua-Kona. An easy walk there, but more work coming back as a portion is uphill. A good way to start the day. And the advantage of being up the hill is the views - gorgeous ocean views, particularly from the upper lanai! We would sometimes dine up there, have drinks with visitors, or I would even do a little work from there (very little - I am mostly retired....). The unit itself was perfect for waht we wanted. We had guests coming and going - this property has a KB in the master, QB's in the other two bedrooms, and two twins in the loft - perfect for two couples visiting and one can even have a couple of kids. And each BR gets its own bathroom which is nice for cleaning up before dinner or after the beach. The property is incredibly well stocked - the kitchen has ample pans, dishes, glasses, flatware, and so on. And the owner has it stocked with many spices, condiments, and such that are available to use. The living space is quite large - three sofas, chairs, open concept to the kitchen and dining areas. Plenty of room to just hang out. And yet it is not so large that when it was just my wife and me in the unit we felt it was too big. The grounds of this development are immaculate. Plenty of green space, the swimming pool is nearby. It has its own private grill. And the lower lanai has a closet full of beach stuff - six beach chairs, three boogie boards, several snorkel sets, beach toys for little ones, beach umbrellas, a large cooler, and more. Very nice to have available! The property manager, Trude, and her husband Scott were very responsive whenever we had issues. And in three months, of course there will be some sort of issue - ours was with the washer and dryer but this was handled quickly. We really cannot say enough nice things about this property. It fit our family wants perfectly - we will be going back for three months in 2021!
