Construction Site
We arrived to an empty house that was under construction with chipboard hoarding all around the deck and access stairway. There was no view from the deck which looks lovely in your photo but not in reality. I have photos if you would like to see what we encountered. The outside was a construction site with garbage everywhere. The neighbourhood kids were making ramps for their bikes under the deck. Many things were broken in the house - stove, toilet, doors, locks -- and poorly maintained and repaired where there had been an effort to fix things. We were unable to reach the manager by phone - her mailbox was full and not taking new messages. There was no effort on her part to apologize for the state of the house and deck. The laundry room was a disaster - filthy with occupation by animals - and someone came early in the morning to use it - slamming doors as she did. We were really disappointed and cannot think why some communication with apologies was not offered. I am only sorry for the people who were checking in that afternoon.

Beware! Extremely disappointed
We were very excited to stay at this property after seeing the photos and reading the description. However, our actual stay left us disappointed. A few hours before our arrival, we received an email saying that the lanai is being rebuilt, although functional. I wish this was communicated with me earlier so I would not be shocked to come home to a vacation rental with construction materials and an unfinished lanai. Kitchen/living room: This area of the house was the most pleasant. The pantry and fridge had some essentials and eliminated the need to go shopping for some small items. The dining table and couch provided ample seating and a place to relax. Bedrooms: We were most disappointed with the bedrooms. Both rooms no longer have blinds (unlike the pictures advertised) and the one bedroom that shows a headboard does not have one. The worst part is that several of the glass window shutters were broken or missing. This isn't a problem when it's warm but it can get windy / cool in the evenings. Recommendations to the owner(s) - please update the photos and description of your listing.

Quiet street, comfortable, good amenities.
Location was great for us while we explored the drier side of the island. Living spaces and bedrooms were comfortable and nicely decorated. The deck was under-construction (Nov 2019) so the deck looked nothing like the pictures, felt like we were in a box. If we would have known we would have picked a different place to rent as it was a selling point for us. Looks like it will be nice when completed, confirm with the owner before renting if it is an attraction for you. Neighborhood was quiet, everyone seemed friendly. Short 15-20 min drive to Kona, 30-35 to Captain Cook. Liked how the house was in-between 19 and 190 for driving options. Check in was easy, communication with Kelly regarding checkout was also easy. Kitchen was supplied with everything we needed to make meals, the cooler, snorkel and boogie board equipment was in good condition and very helpful.

Close to airport
I rented this property because it was close to the airport. I was off the plane, bags claimed, car rented and at the house within 30 minutes of landing. Kailua is 10-15 minutes away. The house is very open, and breezes cool it off very well at night without air conditioning. We really appreciated the washer and dryer. Whenever I emailed the property manager, she responded right away. I would stay here again.

We felt that the property was a little run down. The yard was littered and unattractive.
We enjoyed our stay. The view was great. Most everything was good in the unit. Some windows were missing screens. The patio screen was falling off. The overhead lights in the bedrooms didn't work? Bathroom and shower were fine. Overall the unit needs some maintenance to spruce it up.
