"I booked the "Universal Room 36sq, Non Smoking, 2nd to 3rd floor, with Hot Spring Bath." The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet with two twin beds and a private hot spring bath. Booking this room included breakfast for two daily, even though I was traveling solo. The breakfast is a Japanese-style breakfast that comes with many small dishes including miso soup, rice or porridge, a lot of seafood and typically two small meat dishes each morning. There are separate female and male public onsens (hot spring baths), as well as four private hot spring baths in a separate location, each of which is open air but protected from the elements. The onsens are lovely. I had a 90 minute massage that was very relaxing, highly recommend. The staff is extremely accommodating and kind. Some staff speak some English, though I recommend having the Translation app available to help with communication if needed."
