"It was a cheap place to stay for a few days. If you dont mind the cleanliness not being perfect and plan to spend most of your days outside and only sleep there it wasn’t too bad
Pros:
Price
Front desk guy was cool
A few blocks from trains
Cons
There was some hair in the shower
There was a hole in our wall
Breakfast was just rolls and jam
Walls are thin so you can hear other guests

"The area is picturesque with nice views of the mountains. There are two supermarkets and a petrol station close by. The interchange for the highway is 2 minutes away. There are a number of restaurants fairly close. The yakiniku restaurant gets booked up pretty quick so be sure to make a reservation. The former Sanada residence and military school are worth taking a look at too. They are just a couple of minutes away.
The hotel itself is fresh and clean, with free sparkling wine, beer and snacks...

"This place is a gem for our ski trip. Cosy lodge, our room was spacious, very comfortable beds, beautiful views and daily breakfast was a perfect start to the day. Location was perfect for us and just a few minutes away from the main ski resorts via a free shuttle. Has great amenities and comfortable facilities. The only improvements we would suggest is to give the toilet areas a renovation.
Overall, our stay was perfect, and a special thank you to Christo & Maggie going above and beyond to...

"Fantastic location. Easy to walk to Nagano station. Easy walk to Zenkoji. It is a Japanese hotel so it is a small room. Don't expect western size. No issues with it at all. "
"Hotel Metropolitan Nagano is directly connected from Nagano Station which is a gateway to lots of sightseeing spots. Service was impeccable, breakfast abundant and scrumptious, location so central to shopping and dining.
The only thing I wish this hotel would have is a spa with public bath/sauna. With cold winter in Nagano, hot bath would make the stay perfect. Otherwise, I enjoyed everything about my stay at this hotel. "
