"Lobby area is nice but that was it. Room had bugs Mattresses were worn out. Pillows were bad. Windows were dirty. Bathroom was full of black mold Room was hot. Service at check in was excellent. Way overpriced! View was beautiful but hard to see through dirty windows. "

"The hotel is convenient to the train. About a 5 minute walk. Clean and attractive. My only complaints are minor. The bed takes almost all the room from wall to wall, making transiting difficult. And in our room the shower head was broken. We reported this and they acted as if it would be fixed immediately. "

"Amazing spot. Close to the train, close to the beach, the food is amazing and there’s several great restaurants on the same block. The in-house onsen and laundry was clutch for me and my toddler. The afternoon snacks were a favorite of the the toddler, lol. It’s clean, bright, spacious and the staff is friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again. "

"Beautiful traditional stay. Lovely room, although had noisy neighbours first night. Washroom not in room, needed larger towels for shower. Otherwise a terrific location, close to town and beach. The staff was exceptional. "

"Excelente location: 5 min walk to the beach and 10 to a convenience store. Nearest train station: Hase. Near to Big Buda Statue (Kotoku-in), around 8 min. Individual room, comfortable, cozy and clean. Screen check-in. "

"It's an absolutely beautiful historic Japanese home in a relatively quiet neighborhood. It's a great way to escape the business of the bigger cities for a couple days. Check in was easy and friendly. The train station is only a 5 minute walk away and they have a Family Mart about a 5-10 minute walk away. The beach is also only a 10-15 walk away so this is a very conveniently located hotel. It is a traditional Japanese home though so don't expect comfy king size beds, tvs, couches or much comfort. But that's part of the experience. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars for me is just due to the price versus the comfort. I feel like without the comforts of bigger beds, better heating/cooling system, comfy chairs, etc, that the price should be a bit lower."

"Villa Kamakura worked great for me for a stop in that area. Communication and and the location were great. The property is just a short walk from the beach and very close to Hase train station. I'd definitely come again! "
