Absolute lakefront, stunning position right in Jindabyne
Strachan Lodge Apartment 2 is a self contained, quiet, 3 bedroom lake side apartment
We installed a brand new kitchen in March 2021.
Apartment 2 sleeps a maximum of 6. It has 3 bedrooms, all with built-in robes. The master bedroom has a queen bed. The middle bedroom has a double bed and a single bed. The end bedroom two single beds. The bathroom has a bath/shower and a separate toilet. Both the bathroom and laundry feature under floor heating. Each of the bedrooms has an oil heater (which is more than enough to keep you toasty on even the coldest winter nights).
The lounge room and kitchen has reverse cycle air conditioning.
Linen and towels are included.
The kitchen features a microwave, dishwasher, oven, fridge, kettle, toaster and pod espresso machine. The laundry has both a washing machine and a dryer and an extra fridge.
Apartment 2 features an outdoor entertaining area complete with gas Weber BBQ, table setting and fabulous lakeside views.
The apartment is several flights of stairs from the car park, as it is down the hill closer to the lake. If you are not comfortable using steep stairs we sadly suggest you do not rent this apartment.
No smoking. No pets - sorry.
The entire apartment is your space to use. The deck is your space to use. However, if guests are staying in the upstairs apartment they need to walk across it if they are accessing the lake.

The whole family felt comfortable and didn't miss anything while staying here. The kitchen is well equiped, coffee was nice and the fact that we didn't need to pack our bedlinen or towels was a big plus.

It was a peaceful spot, protected from the wind with a spectacular view of the lake.
Great spot for a get away weekend. The place was just as described listing. Many thanks to the property owners who made the checkin process really easy and clear.
Stunning location over looking the lake. Within walking distance to the shops, restaurants and amenities of Jindabyne. Spent lots of time on the water, mountain biking, horse riding and walking. Wish we could have stayed longer
Amazing location, very close to the town and shops. We stayed there for three days and enjoyed stunning views of Lake Jindabyne during both sunset and sunrise. The AC in the living room and oil heaters in every room make it a perfect place to stay in winter. The hosts are very responsive and helpful. Thank you, Jeanne and Andrew. We’ll definitely come back!
I stayed here with four friends and we had plenty of space. Lots of kitchen utensils and a dishwasher made for easy meal prep. 40 min drive from Thedbo mountain. Beautiful views as well. Thank you!
The property has all requirements to enable a comfortable stay. There is a short track to the lake but this year the lake level is extremely low. From the house it is a short walk to the shopping centres and eating places, so overall it is a convenient place to stay.
We had a great 4 day stay. It was the perfect base for skiing in Thredbo which was only a 30 min drive away. We had 3 adults and 4 kids to get out the door each morning and there was plenty of room. The location couldn't have been more beautiful being right on the lake so would be lovely in summer as well! We would definitely book again for our next ski trip! Thank you for having us.
We enjoyed our time in this location. Close enough to town centre to be able to walk. It was very clean, our only issue was the toilet, the cistern didn’t fill properly, and with six people staying, this became a problem, also noisy trying to fill, seemed to be constantly running.
Don't let the dark entry, through the laundry dissuade you.
The rest of the house, although showing it's age in the wet areas, is very comfortable and has everything you need for a nice sojourn.
A lovely 3 night stay. The view was sensational and the area is quiet and oeaceful. There's a path down to the lake from the apartment with a small manageable scramble over the rocks. It's in a great location being an easy walk to town. The apartment was comfortable. We had the windows open being summer but it would definitely be warm and cosy in winter with AC in living room and portable heaters in each bedroom. Ample room to park and the steps down to the house are lit. So glad we booked here. Thank you to the hosts for a wonderful stay.
Good location just a shame about the noisy apartment upstairs
Good location and hosts were friendly and good with communication. Unfortunately the apartment is downstairs from another one and their is no soundproofing. We were kept up until 2.30 am first night and 1.30 am second night with people upstairs having a party, making lots of noise. There is no soundproofing between the apartments and so kept our children up. Made for a challenging weekend. Would suggest you make sure you know that upstairs doesn’t have people that are going to stay up late. Place a bit tired and needs a refresh - would have expected newer fit out for the price paid
