The lodge itself was a lovely retreat, the staff on book in were very welcoming. As far as our accommodation, we booked a cabin, it was set in a good position with gardens all around. The cabin it self was expensive compared to all our other outback accommodations we have had, but cost up to 3 times more. Therefore we were expecting a higher quality than usual, and a better standard. The cabin was very claustrophobic, with a queen bed pushed up a against a wall, plus a very small bathroom. The ceiling fan was hanging loose and looked like it was ready for take off. We wanted to use the electric fry pan but it had the wrong fitting cord, the dishes were only rinsed and put away and were still wet and dirty. On leaving my partner did let them know of these things, and we were told we should have called them and told said something. I was to upset and if I had talked to them I am afraid I would have lost it. We are pensioners and try to spend our money wisely, at over $200 for one night was a rip off.
