"This was by far the nicest room/resort we have stayed in. After being cramped in many Japanese hotels and ryokans, this was much much larger with three queen/full size beds, a 65" TV and an outdoor bath (mineral salts available in the lobby). However, please understand that as this location is very remote, dining options in the area and transportation may be limited. This may be why we didn't see any foreigners there? However, they do provide pick-up service to and from the Shin-Iwakuni station...

I was traveling with 4 other adults and two children, and this was a very spacious and nicely appointed apartment with kitchen, dining area, and two separate sleeping areas (one in the living room and a separate bedroom). It was very convenient to walk to shopping and restaurants, and about a 15 minute walk to the Hiroshima memorial park and museum. The owner provides a mobile wifi hotspot device that was a major bonus. I had some difficulty finding the apartment...
