This is an ok budget hotel in the downtown core of Istanbul. It is clean, and their staff members are all awesome. My room was decent-sized, but the window was fake - it did not face the outside, but some some kind of internal wall, so I could not see the street at all, and it was always dark, pretty much like a basement. The elevator is small, and at times it was out of order. Breakfast was decent. Soundproofing was lacking, and I could hear everything on the floor. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was good enough. I would like to thank all members of staff for the welcoming atmosphere.

The reception staff were obliging, polite and courteous. However, the housekeeping and maintenance staff were terrible. The wash basins, toilet and shower area were not cleaned for 3 of the 4 days. The overflowing water in the toilet was reported on the first day, but was never repaired for the 4 days we were there. The noise of water dripping kept us awake through the night. The cooling in room 103 never worked although we paid for it as it was advertised with air conditioning and reported on day 1. Three of the 4 days were very warm and the room needed cooling and we could not sleep due to the heat. When we opened the window, a cat came into the room, and also it was noisy from the road below, so we could not open the window either.They refused to repair the air conditioning, and refused to change rooms and refused to refund any money. The rooms are not the size shown in the photos. They are much smaller. There are stray cats in the lounge area. They say they have a roof top restaurant, on the signage outside the hotel, but they do not. This is deceitful. The hotel needs major refurbishment. I would not recommend guests to book this hotel if they want a comfortable stay.

I have stayed 4 nights in the Golden Crown accommodation with pleasure. The staff is very helpful, nice and friendly. We had a tv and minibar in the room. Also there are many things to do near the hotel. I give this hotel and staff 1000 points for sure😁 Next time i will come back to this hotel! Greetz Usha❣

Крайне недоброжелательный человек на стойке регистрации... В аннонсе отеля написано про заезд в после 14 дня. Приехали в 15 и еще полчаса ждали. Кстати, из-за пробок в этом месте, такси не смогло доехать до отеля, шли пешком с чемоданами около 300 метров. Были забронированы две комнаты, предложили человеку (который должен был жить в одной из них), поселить в другой отель. Только обещание пожаловаться в hotels.com позволило жить (все-таки) в одном отеле. Неуютно. Единственное, что приятно порадовало - в санузле вода текла и уходила нормально. Люди, часто пользующиеся отелями, знают - это основная проблема в отелях. На тройку с минусом. Не советую...
