"The gym is top notch with a smith press, squat rack, free weights, yoga, and a lot of cardio machines. The staff are excellent. Rooms updated. Breakfast buffet is rather sparse and not worth it, go a la carte if you must eat there. Views, locations, pools, gym, store, and restaurants are all great. I will come back again!"

"This is an older building, and while it is well maintained and clean, guests should not expect a high end lodging experience. There is parking, but large and/or long vehicles may find it difficult to drive around from the entrance to the parking in back. The pool is lovely. Most rooms have a fair amount of road noise, plus the airport flight patterns affect all lodging in the area. Staff has always treated me very well. I like the location for access to Liberty Station, Cabrillo National Monument and Tide Pools, Mission Beach, and 3 grocers nearby. There is an abundance of restaurants all around, but I bring or purchase my foods rather than eat at restaurants."

"The breakfast was pretty good and restocked frequently. Hotel lobby was clean with lots of seating, pool table and games to play was a nice feature. Pool area small but clean but i think could use some more service during the day to keep it picked up. Bed comfortable and the room was spacious. Would stay again! "

"The room was clean, the breakfast was always good. The beds are ok. I only have a few complaints. 1) the air didn’t work in the hotel room I never brought this up because regardless it was still comfortable. 2) the hot tub really needs to be maintained the paint is chipping it was not like this 3 years ago when I was there. 3) they just need more room for breakfast but that’s not easy to fix. The staff is super friendly and helpful, parking is easy and included. I love seeing and hearing the military planes and helicopters. I also love how close it is to some great restaurants, Pizza Nova is amazing and across the street. I will go back here if looking for a hotel to stay in San Diego "
