Lakeside Shady Rest Home Away from Home blocks from Rend Lake and I57/I64

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway 1/2 mile off Interstate 57 and 9 miles from Interstate 64. Convenient for one night's rest or an entire month or more with washer/dryer. We have 2 large and long driveways for your trailers and boats with an extra lot to turn around in.This home is only 1/2 mile from Rend Lake boat ramp, 6 miles from Rend Lake Golf Course and dining, 4 miles from Wayne Fitzgerald State Park with bike and hiking trails, 5 miles from the local winery. I am a state of Illinois licensed and insured fishing guide for crappie and bass and offer 4hr, 6hr, and 8hr trips. I am retired and am available most any day you want. I have a full fish cleaning station at my house next door so I can clean your catch. My rates are in the guest book on the living room desk with my phone number. 2 people max. You can call, text, or come on over! I just live next door.
The space
There are 3 TVs-one in living room and 1 in each bedroom. There is a spacious front and back yard and also an extra lot. Picknick table, outdoor swing, and charcoal grill. Full kitchen with everything from kitchen utensils, dinnerware, cooking ware, dish soap, laundry soap, dryer sheets.
Guest access
We have 2 long driveways on each side of house with outdoor electrical outlets for boat batteries for parking.
Other things to note
We have a complete comfortable home just minutes from fishing, hunting, boating, golf, swimming, trap shooting ranges, beaches, and even a Dollar General Store, McDonalds, 2 gas stations and a pizza place all within 2 miles. Lots of extra pillows and blankets and 1 stand up fan.

Clean, relaxing, and besides that, a beautiful state park and lake nearby

When we arrived, the AC was on and working well. Heat indexes were near the 100’s outside, but the house kept cool through the whole stay. The bed was comfortable, and all the appliances-stovetop and oven, washer, dryer, toaster, microwave-all worked well. The owners put some work in the landscaping, too. The flowers were gorgeous. If we ever return to the area, we’d stay here if it was available.

Right off the interstate!

Nice, reasonably priced spot to stay while on a long road trip. The house was clean and the owners were very helpful and responded quickly to any messages sent. It is located next to a train so if you are not accustomed to that noise it might be disturbing for you overnight.
