SHACHIHOKO is a private seaside villa located in Hatatsu-cho, Imari City, Saga Prefecture. Surrounded by the tranquil waters of Imari Bay, Iroha Island, and the surrounding mountains, it offers beautiful natural scenery throughout the seasons. This villa is based on a traditional fisherman’s house in a small fishing port, and we’ve blended the charm of Japanese craftsmanship with Moroccan influences to create a unique and inviting space. We take great care in maintaining the villa and cleaning it thoroughly to ensure that your stay is comfortable, embodying the spirit of ‘omotenashi’ (heartfelt hospitality).

◉ The Rooms of SHACHIHOKO
You’ll stay in a spacious 100㎡ area with the entire villa available for your exclusive use.

(1st Floor, Tea Room): The Tokonoma (alcove) is centered around an antique Shachihoko and has been designed by stamp artist Masaaki Oyamada. We also display folk crafts collected from various parts of Japan. Enjoy a relaxing cup of tea here.

(1st Floor, Living Room): The living room, equipped with a 65-inch TV, features a kotatsu table available from autumn to spring. The room is decorated with charming Moroccan decor, including lamps and cushions. You can enjoy your meals here as well.

(1st Floor, Japanese-Style Room): A 6-tatami mat room featuring only an Isamu Noguchi "AKARI" light stand. The tatami mats, made from traditional Japanese paper, provide a comfortable atmosphere. This room can also be used as a bedroom for 5–6 guests.

(1st Floor, Kitchen): Equipped with essential kitchen tools and tableware. Feel free to bring your preferred ingredients and cook at your leisure. We can also offer special dining options, such as the Trifugu hot pot & sashimi set from Hatatsu Port, Imari beef sukiyaki set, and fresh sashimi from Imari Bay.

(1st Floor, Toilet & Washroom): Amenities such as toothbrushes and cotton sets are provided. A hairdryer is also available.

(1st Floor, Laundry Room & Bathroom): Towels and bath towels are available in the dressing room. You can also use the drum-type washer and dryer. The bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body soap.

(2nd Floor, Moroccan-style Bedroom): The furniture in this room was collected in Marrakesh, Morocco, and arranged in a cozy and charming style. It features two semi-double beds. From the window, you can enjoy views of the sea, the small port, and the surrounding mountains.

(2nd Floor, Japanese-style Bedroom): This room comes with two fluffy futons, specially made by a local bedding shop. From the window, you can enjoy the view of the sea, the small port, and the natural mountains.
