It’s one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. The hotel is absolutely cute, the staffs are extremely friends and attentive. The views are spectacular and the food is delicious whatever you decide to order.

The food was not good. It was disappointing how bad the food was. Everything was great, and the staff especially were amazing, but they need to find a new chef - the food kills the entire experience.

Stormy weather
We didnt expect stormy weather. It really made conditions unpleasant as the hotel area linkages are outside and unprotected. This meant that it wasn't possible to swim, use the pool or even get to the restaurant without getting wet. There also was poor internet and tv was limited to portuguese channels but great if you like football. All up our stay was limited by the weather which exposed site limitations. If it had bern hood weather it looks like it would have berm been wonderful!!

Hotel staff was not attentive, with exception of breakfast staff. Repairs made in room below us. Room not as advertised, correct room was offered but had strong paint smell. Restaurant slow with service at dinner time, we where the only guest!

Wouldn’t change a thing
We stayed here for 3 nights and had a lovely time. Everything was perfect and our room was very comfortable and had a beautiful view onto the water. Food was delicious too and staff very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to be back next time, hopefully for longer.

This hotel is a lovely boutique hotel with a great view ,everything was great including the caprihanas . Breakfast was very nice and traditional Brazilian . Lunch and dinner we found better at local restaurants

Amazing place with world-class views/amenities.
Barra do Piuva was simply stunning. The views and amenities of the hotel were some of the best I've ever encountered in the world. The only downside was that it was rather empty when we stayed during the week so we were the only ones at breakfast and dinner both days. Also had to seek out people to get drinks and things while near the pool. Other than that, the stay was totally relaxing. The staff were very helpful even without us speaking Portuguese. Was definitely worth it!

No reason to go anywhere else. Get the LOFT!
I went here with my fiancee for a short get away and we were both completely blown away! The staff was so accommodating and quick to help out in anyway possible. They have english menus at the restaurant (which is absolutely great food) and the ladies at the front desk spoke english as well. All the meals and drinks are charged directly to your room so you don't have to worry about keeping up with your bill. If you are wanting to do any activities they work with a local company called Eco Way (if I remember correctly). We did a jeep tour over to Castelhanos which was around R90 per person.

A beautiful hotel with amazing staff
This hotel is wondeful, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the hotel was very well maintained. The view from the pool and hot tub is amazing. Great breakfast as well! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Excellent surroundings, very small room
Hotel is excellent, decent location on the south side (near the ferry) with direct access to the ocean. Very beautiful surroundings with a great pool with bar, deck with service and kayaks/stand-up paddles to rent. Definitely good for a quick getaway. My complaint is the room, too small (to be fair, I stayed in the cheapest one).

It's okay...
We stayed for the weekend (low season). Overall our stay was okay: service is average, the room was clean, the views are great and the common areas were quiet, good for relaxation moments at the sound of sea waves. We didn't have lunch on the hotel because we saw some not-so-good reviews on tripAdvisor about this, but it is located close to other restaurants, so that didn't bother us. The only problem was that we booked a Pacuiba room because we saw on the hotel's website that it offered a queen size bed. As we are a tall couple, this is very important for us. We arrived late in the night and for this reason we didn't want to report the issue right away, but the room has a regular bed, not a queen size one. The room (#25) is tight and there isn't space for a queen size bed on it. Note: The hotel is close to the ferryboat (approximately 2km by car). Note 2: There are a lot of stairs on this hotel, because it is built on the hillside. You can't access the sea without going down a huge staircase. Although the rooms have access through an elevator, it does not reach the restaurant.

A holiday weekend away from Sao Paulo. The views from the pool and restaurant are stellar. The breakfast is excellent. The menu for lunch is fine, but a little lacking for dinner. The staff was also excellent, very friendly and the counter staff spoke English. They helped me make some changes in my transportation reservations. Overall, highly satisfied.

Foi incrível, falar da beleza que o Barra do Piúva proporciona é quase indescritível. O lugar é surreal e espetacular. Além da Bela paisagem o hotel tem tudo o que buscamos em um só lugar. O pier e a praia privativa tornam o cenário ainda mais atraente. Passeios de caíque, stand UP, mergulhos e a maravilhosa piscina. Enfim, tudo muito bom desde o atendimento, refeições, limpezas, funcionários educados... Obs: ponto a melhorar: o wi-fi no quarto quase não funciona e com isso a tv só passava os canais abertos. Em breve estaremos de volta.

Hotel precisa de reformas, especialmente nos quartos. Banheiro nível banheiro de pousada. Quartos com móveis e tomadas bastante antigos. Pelo preço que cobram e pelas avaliações que recebem, minha expectativa estava MUITO mais elevada. Está mais próximo de uma pousada do que de um hotel 4 estrelas como ele se vende. Caso escolha o hotel, tenha em conta que ele é um hotel bastante simples. Definitivamente overpriced na época em que fomos (jan/24).
