While Santana itself is quiet and peaceful and about a 40-minute drive to Funchal, the description does not reflect the actual setting. "We enjoyed our three nights here very much. It is in an absolutely gorgeous location and walks are possible from the house. The house is clean and well equipped. The owners mother brought us a pitcher of poncha the local drink which we enjoyed. I recommend this place very much to anyone."
