Quiet hotel in a quiet small beach town in Madeira

Great property with amazing concierge

Having only stayed here for a brief period, arriving after midnight and departing in the morning, I must say the entire experience was truly delightful. The hotel, though rated as a three-star establishment, boasted a reception staff that provided a five-star level of service. The property itself was well-maintained, and the room was exceptionally spacious with lovely views. Furthermore, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast was quite tasty.

Lovely quiet hotel in Machico, short walking distance to the sea front. I enjoyed the breakfast. Staff were very helpful with an issue I had with my passport and helping with my luggage while I went Scuba diving after check out.

The hotel is an immaculate and smells so fresh everywhere. The beds were so comfy and it is ina. Very good location for the airport. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice staff and a decent breakfast. The room was a little old, stained carpets, no kettle or fridge, but at the price and for one night, it was absolutely fine. My room had a bath which was very welcome and also a balcony, which was nice and the bed was very comfy. Great location and the friendly and helpful staff made up for the slightly shabby room.

Super convenient for airport, beach, food and bis station for local activities and rest of island. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and great balcony with sea view. Good buffet breakfast with a few options including cold, cooked, and sweet. Great location, with free parking a short walk (paid parking closer by, but rarely spaces available). New bathroom and amazing shower. We really enjoyed our stay, highly recommended.

Very good

Parking was juggled but not an issue . The hotel was a very good budget hotel . The breakfast was more than adequate . Staff were very friendly . It’s a great spot to do walking especially the peninsula walk . Nacho do is much quieter and cheaper than Funchal but we found very friendly

Fantastic

I received a warm welcome from a very nice young lady who had a great local knowledge and was able to point me in the direction of a nice place to eat. The hotel is nicely situated, clean, in excellent condition and the room was extremely comfortable. I enjoyed a very peaceful stay with superb views out over the street at the front. Completely impressed with my experience and really look forward to staying there again in the future.

Within 5 minutes walk are many good restaurants, buses to other towns, a bakery, a fruit-shop and a small supermarket. Excellent hotel breakfast. All rooms have sea-view balconies. Paid parking is very difficult nearby, except overnight and at weekend. Nearest free parking 10 minutes walk away.

Very good stay at this small hotel. I advised of our very late flight and arrangements were made for our arrival after front desk closed. Excellent communication from hotel staff to set this up and all went very smoothly. Room was clean and quiet although a bit dated. I was told that renovations are being undertaken. Excellent breakfast included. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location is very convenient to the airport in a lovely town setting.

5 fab days in Machico.

We really enjoyed our second stay at white waters hotel. Staff are really upbeat and friendly. Lovely room with comfy bed and great shower. Breakfast was very good, hotel is very close to all facilities in Machico. Not far from bus station, and a great Levada walk at the back of Machico. Not far from a golden sandy beach. Buses go to most places on the east of the island and Funchal via the airport. Would re and would return. Cheers 😁😁

The size of the room was good. I missed a few connectors for electric equipment. A small table in the bathroom would be convenient for lutting things down.

Potential, but I won't come back in this state

This place has seen better days and really need some work. - no airco, or even a fan. But also no shield to avoid mosquitos getting in. -Table, nightstand everything is broken. - our sheets had stains in it. - breakfast was ok, but the coffee is horrible. - no parking, you need to drive 3 streets away to park your car. - they placed a sharp, square doorstopper under the toilet, scratched my foot on it!! On the positive side the rooms are spacious and with some TLC it could be better. Just place a simple fan on hot days, install shields for mosquitos and buy a decent coffee machine. We payed roughly the same for all our hotels in Madeira and this one was by far the least value for our money.
