The nearby quaint town of Idaho Springs boasts unique shops and is rich in frontier and mining history. Try your luck at panning for gold after taking in a tour at one of the local mines. Run the rapids of Clear Creek with one of the several rafting companies right in Idaho Springs. Afterwards, soak in the hot springs and baths of Indian Springs. Or you can just spend the day shopping and visiting some of the several museums around town that are interesting for the entire family. There are several restaurants in Idaho Springs as well. BeauJo’s world famous pizza is an excellent choice or you can try one (or two) of the microbrews at Tommyknocker’s.
Please get your food supplies on your way up to the cabin as the closest store is about 10 miles away in the town of Idaho Springs. Close to Loveland and Arapahoe Basin Ski Resorts. It was a nice secluded area, great for a fishing trip, getting to the property was a reminder of the mountain town i grew up in, the fresh air the silence of the forest, my family and partner loved the home and the area will definitely book this place again if im in the area or makena weekend of it.
Amazing stay! Gina was an outstanding host — 100% attentive and always available. The cabin is beautiful, extremely well equipped, and has excellent signal. It truly has everything you could need, plus extra thoughtful touches. The hot tub and the breathtaking views were the highlight of our stay. The cabin is also very well lit and easy to find, which made our arrival stress-free. You can really tell the host thought of every detail.Highly recommend this place — an unforgettable experience!
This cabin was well built and well maintained. It was very clean. Kitchen appliances, kitchen supplies, and household supplies are top quality. We definitely recommend this cabin to families and friends on their future travels to this area.
The property was amazing. Great location. Well stocked. View was exceptionally beautiful. Host was accommodating and responsive. Excellent vacation place for winter. I will definitely be returning.
This property was amazing. It was just what we wanted, a quiet and natural environment. The owners are very friendly and their property had plenty of supplies and was super clean.
The cabin location and scenery was amazing. Gina was very communicative and responsive with any questions I had.
The cabin was very clean and matched the description and pictures posted. I would definitely come back here in the winter with all the snow.
Colorado Mountain Retreat - Spacious Cabin - Did not dissapoint
Property was what we were looking for, secluded, in the mountains, yet easy to get to a variety of attractions and activities. A significant irritant because it could be heard throughout the entire cabin was an extremely noisy refrigerator the entire stay.
Pond Hockey team stayed for tournament in Georgetown. Very simple process for check in and check out. Very tight fit for 6 men to stay in this house but it worked out. We definitely felt the 10000ft coming from our homes at sea level. :) I would definitely be interested in staying at this house in the summer time with my family. It would be very fun to explore the hiking trails during the summer.
My friends and I stayed in this cabin home and we absolutely had the best time! There aren’t pictures of the backyard attached but it is definitely a vibe. We spent most of our 3 day weekend in the back yard playing games and cooking up delicious meals. The beautiful hike to St.Mary’s glacier (only a 8 min walk from the house) is one of the highlights of the proximity of the home. We loved how secluded the location was and how spread out the houses were as well. There is also a near by private lake up the street that our friends enjoyed fishing at. The home included everything we needed for this stay and the host was very nice and replied quickly when we had questions. Overall a very good place to stay at, I highly recommend!
The property was very nice. We were not able to use the hot tub as it was broken ,the oven didn’t work only the cooktop. The DVD skips continuously the bed in the master bedroom sages terribly one side and the coffee maker only works on the K cop side
incredible host, Gina made us feel like family and took care of us with the utmost care. I plan to stay at her place again in the very near future. I strongly recommend everyone take the opportunity to let Gina host them at her place.
We had an incredible stay. The online pictures do not do the property just, it’s beautiful, clean and everything you need and more! We hiked St. Mary’s Glacier trail and spent time enjoying the views. You can spend all the time at the cabin or drive the short distance into Idaho springs, which we did both of. Without a doubt, we will be back to visit again and be sure to let family/friends know of this hidden gem! Thank you Hosts, for providing a property like this one.
Our Family was looking for a week away in a remote area to be together, beautiful scenery, hiking and options for things to do near by. This property provided us with everything we were looking for. We really loved the outdoor areas and this beautiful cabin!
This property is so tranquil. Wonderful hosts and the home is very well stocked with everything you may need. The sound of the wind thru the pines and the rushing stream brings such a lovely atmosphere. You will not be disappointed staying here!
This property is BEAUTIFUL. It’s about 50min - 1hr from Denver which was perfect for us. The place was very clean, and in a beautiful area! No complaints at all!!
The property was clean, fresh, and perfect for our extended weekend vacation. Gina was incredibly thoughtful during our stay and made the trip feel like home. The trails nearby were close (and challenging in the best way) and breathtaking! Would love to come back one day during the winter months :)
