"It was very noisy and staff did not look into kids running around and playing mini stiks in hallway. We did not stay for the 3rd night as planned. "

"It was a nice updated hotel. The cable TV was clear, Nespresso machine, shampoo smelled nice and the room came with slippers which was a nice touch. There was no hand lotion or coffee in the lobby though which differs from other similar tiered hotels. However, it's just the trade offs between different hotels. "

"It was so unbearably hot in our room that we could barely sleep. The one elevator was still broke down like it was a month and a half ago. No housekeeping to our room at all, even to change the garbage. The light in the bedroom did not work. The closet door was hanging on only by one hinge and almost fell on my grandson. Our coffee maker did not work and I had to ask 3 times for a new one. I asked for clean towels and got none. They were supposed to send someone to bring them to my room and never did. I will not be staying here again"

"Front desk staff are helpful and very pleasant. I had a small hiccup with the under ground parking and the front desk was a great help. That being said the underground parking is small and fills up quickly which can be a problem if you arrive later in the evening."

"I personally enjoy staying at this hotel, and often recommend it. The staff have been friendly and helpful any time I've stayed. The elevators are quick and always in order. The rooms feel clean and fresh. I would say the rooms could potentially be incrementally cleaner, however I do residential cleaning for a living and tend to notice things most people might not (dust on an obscure surface or streaks on a mirror for example) and being aware they have a lot of rooms to clean, I do not expect them to be pristine by any means. They are plenty clean and comfortable. There was a minor issue with the handheld shower in the room I was in where it had come unscrewed and sprayed water everywhere when I turned it on, but otherwise the bathroom was a good size, everything was in working order. Showers have good pressure and I appreciate the options of overhead or handheld shower heads. The bed is comfortable. I noticed when adjusting a corner of the sheet that there is a zippered mattress protector encasing the mattress, with another removable/washable one on top of that. Very nice touch. The pillows were great, they provide both soft and firm options. Plenty of parking around the property, although the parking out front can be limited at times. There is a very large parking area at the back. I find the location to be quite good, it is quiet and slightly out of the way with tons of shopping and dining options within a short driving distance. "

"Breakfast was always good. Five days of goodliness. Staff was always cleaning vacated tables to insure the readiness for new users. Parking was quite adequate, both front and back of the hotel. Had a few issues with the digital key cards. Possibly because of card touching too close to my phone in my pocket, the cards failed to unlock our room door. I have to admit, the rooms are getting somewhat tired and could use a bit of TLC. Hallways were quite noisy as we had young hockey teams staying the weekend that we were there. I suggest staying on the top floor to lessen the noise issue."

"Desirée and Nathan’s Cozy Hippo was above and beyond our expectations. They have literally thought of everything that their guests could possibly need during their stay. Immaculate. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of towels and bedding, including multiple pillow options on each bed. We truly enjoyed our 3 night stay. (5 person curling team here for a bonspiel)."
