After being told that there was room service for food on Christmas day. This was the reason I booked. Imagine my surprise when I checked in to find no room service and no food. I booked hotel under false pretences and I demand my money back.

We booked through Expedia for a night but realised we booked the wrong date by one week. We contacted the hotel to see if we could move it and were told to go through Expedia. Expedia contacted the hotel to see if they would move the room with no charge as they had the same room available at the same rate for our new dates. The hotel said they would not change the room reservation without enforcing the charge and the charge was the full room price so clearly no point in moving the booking as it would cost the same as rebooking. We tried to contact the hotel again to explain and they would not deal with us as they said it was down to Expedia. Contacting the hotel was difficult as the phone had long automated messages that you had to sit through and then the phone kept cutting out when answered or put on hold so had to endure a repeat cycle of automated messages to phone them back. A really frustrating position to be in so the room went empty for that night. We struggle to see how a simple change in date could not have been accommodated and feel this was poor customer service.
