"Beautiful location and grounds Building was large and modern Staff friendly and helpful Room was good with robe and slippers and nice views Bed was too firm for us We ate dinner in the hotel bar. Unfortunately my fish did not smell or taste fresh and I was unable to eat it. The hotel staff took on board my feedback and did not charge me for this. The breakfast was very good Overall a good stay. We would return but eat out evening meal elsewhere."

"This was a one night stay ahead of a flight from Gatwick. The hotel has good free parking and satnav got us directly there. It is ten minutes drive to the airport. The room was clean and tidy and very nice and had a small garden room with sitting area attached. We could not get the TV to work, it kept telling us to check an external aerial. A previous reviewer bemoaned a lack of plates in the kitchen area but we had plates and cutlery in ours. There is no meal service apart from breakfast but there were a couple of leaflets from local takeaway/delivery firms and we used one of those. We left too early for breakfast but the menu seemed good. Apart from noisy planes overhead, which did stop at night for the most part, it was very comfortable and a great price."

"Used the hotel as a base when visiting family in the local area. Nice location, very safe. All staff were professional and friendly. Rooms in both the annex and main hotel were spacious and clean, the main hotel perhaps feeling a little more modern. Great breakfast with both continental and hot fresh foods to order. Staff in the restaurant were exceptional! We were offered a fan in our room but it did little in the recent heatwave - totally not the hotel’s fault!! But perhaps consider installing some rooms with wall mounted AC could be great (I wouldn’t mind paying a bit more!!). We would certainly stay here again for future trips. Thank you!"
