My family of three stayed here and loved it. We weren’t in the condo much because the weather cooperated and we were so close to the beach. My son (5) loved access to the pool and playground. We also loved being close to the zoo. The kitchen was stocked, and the beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. Great beach toys, chairs, umbrellas too!
The unit was contemporary, clean and well appointed for an enjoyable stay with easy walking distance to the nearby beach park, restaurants and shopping. Included parking was a plus. On the downside, public common areas were tired looking and broken elevators were problematic in our coming and going. Priced well for the area.
My family of four came to Waikiki for spring break. The property was exactly as described and pictured in the listing. It was well stocked with all of the beach things a family needs. It was extremely clean and well maintained. Parking was never an issue due to the parking pass. The laundry facilities on each floor were easy to access and clean. Definitely 5 stars and I would recommend any friend to stay here!
Absolutely amazing. The amenities were perfect. Cookware, silverware, pots pans were all high quality. Beds were comfy. Laundry was only three doors down the hall. A short walk (1 1/2 blocks) to the beach. Another 1/2 mile to the center of Waikiki but it was a very nice walk past shops and eateries. Free parking and a pool on the 6th floor. We had such a wonderful stay. Mahalo!!
Wonderful location, amenities were fantastic…except for the elevators! Took as long as 15 minutes to get an elevator once due to maintenance & construction.
This is our third stay in the Waikiki Banyon, each time a different rental property. We had initially rebooked a corner unit that we had stayed in last summer, however the unit sold right before our scheduled trip. Luckily this unit had the dates available, and at a discounted price due to the construction/remodeling on the 6th floor (BBQ & Pool area). Yes, the construction was loud, however the unit made up for the inconvenience. Listed as "recently remodeled" - it certainly lived up to it's pictures and description. Location was ideal, unit was up to date, modern, and very clean. Beds so very comfortable! AC unit hummed softly and didn't leak water on the floor in prior units. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of towels, beach gear, even games. We look forward to booking this unit again on our next trip.
I was very pleased with this stay. I initially worried because we weren’t directly on the beach, but didnt think about that at all once we settled in. At just one block away, walking to the beach was easy, and what literally everyone else was doing.
We really appreciated the beach towels and beach items, it made dropping in and enjoying the beach easy. There was enough toiletries to last our family of three with plenty left over, even surprise items like aloe gel and rough skin lotion!
The beds were clean and very comfortable. The mattresses had two mattress covers/protectors so I appreciated that. After initial inspection there was no second guessing and I was truly able to relax!
Others mentioned elevator waits. I can see how that could have been an issue. There is a queue on the first floor, but I never saw it busy and most people just knew to scoot and let people on the elevator.
In terms of quietness, it was fine. There was a tenant above us that was sliding their door closed between the bedroom and living area, but that was all we noticed. We were also so tired from hiking, exploring and swimming and we are hard sleepers anyway.
It wasn’t that big a deal but the toilet paper holder is in and odd spot and once the roll gets low enough it falls directly into the trashcan or on top of the toilet brush stand, but that was literally the only down to this place. I would absolutely stay here again It’s a fantastic deal with the parking pass and its location is great!
Location was perfect. View was lovely, parking convenient. Really appreciated extras provided such as the crib & high chair - was part of the reason we chose this room. Kitchen was appointed with basic cookware, dinnerware and utensils. We found the apartment to be small - more like a studio as opposed to a 1 bdrm with a movable wall separating the main living area & bedroom. We also found the beds to be uncomfortable & hard. They provided lots of pillows which was great. The AC unit is in the main room & did not cool off the bedroom when the separating wall was closed,which left the bdrm uncomfortably hot at night. We didn’t keep the bedroom wall open bc it was very bright in the apartment even at night being in a big city & also when baby went to bed earlier we would close the wall to keep noise out but then it would get hot for her & uncomfortable. Worst was having no blackout blinds on any windows, to be honest we would not stay in this place again because of this. While generally tidy upon arrival, we found the actual cleanliness of the room to be somewhat sub standard. Dishes, utensils, cookware from the cupboard were not fully clean. Shower door was cloudy. No dishwasher, which I supposed we missed when booking the room, but was incredibly inconvenient. Bbqs 2 to use and always closed due to wind which is obviously not the property owners fault but was a let down for us. They provided beach chairs, umbrellas and beach toys! Thanks for having us
Really impressed with this condo. This is my 3rd time to Waikiki and this was by far the best unit ive stayed in. Very well cleaned. The parking that is included is very helpful if you plan on renting a car. Short walk to the beach!
The condo was beautiful and just the right amount of space for our family of four. Having the nice, big couch was ideal for being able to sit around together and also enjoy some movie nights. We appreciated having access to beach chairs and an umbrella. Having the ability to do laundry was essential, and that it was just at the end of the hallway was perfect. The location was perfect for walking around the main Waikiki area. The bathroom set up was great, with the sink being separate from the shower & toilet. And having the door partitions between the bedroom and living area was appreciated to allow our 18 & 20 year old to sleep in longer than their parents!
Property was great! Lived up to all of the descriptions. We’ve stayed at the Banyan several times and this was the best unit we’ve ever stayed in. Clean, modern upgrades and great view! Thanks so much! We’ll be back someday!
We love this place. The owners are very thoughtful and have prepared all the necessities for us, including boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, etc. The condo is beautiful and is nicely located. The best part is the included parking, which is an absolute plus while staying in Waikiki. I would definitely stay there again if we go back next time.
The location was great. Easy walk to beach, restaurants and International Market Place.Condo was great since it comes with 2 queen beds and a large couch which a child could sleep on. Having a parking pass was a plus(and it comes with the condo!). It was a great place for the family and you are in Hawaii!
