Great view from the room. No TV in bedroom but could view LR TV via the mirror. Chairs and umbrella were great for the short walks to the beach. Great value in short walk to the beach for a fair price with a great view.
Great view of Diamondhead and the ocean. The pool and hot tub were great. A short walk to the beach and the main drag. Building is well insulated from nearby units. Very happy!
We had a lovely stay here. The place was on the small side for our family of 4, but we knew this from the accurate listing. The view was great, and we were a close walk to the beach. It was nice to be in Waikiki and have a small kitchen in our place. Despite 1 bathroom we did fine since there are very nice clean bathrooms and showers on the 6th floor. The building is a bit dated, but the 6th floor bathrooms and the condo itself was very nice and clean. We also had a fire alarm go off durig our stay and walked down 37 floors. It was fine for us, but might not be for others. We had a few hiccups with communication, but it all worked out in the end.
I came for some personal time away from the everyday world and am so happy with my choice. The views from this unit had me counting my blessings every single time I looked out a window. The location was away from most of the traffic noise and close enough to the zoo that I could hear the peacocks and monkeys with every sunrise. Truly a special spot. Also tons of shopping and delicious restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend. :-)
Loved the view of Diamond Head and the water. Cool sunrises! Bummed the snack bar wasn’t open, not your fault. So close to the beach, shops, and great food.

The building alarm when off on the middle of the night, a little scary for the kids to wake up like that but overall will go back to this place.
A great location. Amazing views from the room. Super easy check in and check out process. Car parking included was a huge bonus. Adequate space for a family with 3 big kids. Good kitchen. The one thing that could be improved is the quality of the mattress in the fold out sofa, it was a bit thin. But would definitely stay here in the future. Highly recommend this accomodation
Check in was great, parking was free and awesome, place was a little dirtier than I would have liked, especially with two little ones. Just needed a really good dusting and would have liked the linens to smell a fresher. But overall it was good and I would consider staying again. Being on the 37th floor was nice to stay clear of the street noise.
Totally didn't know this was top floor and overlooking diamond head and a little ocean view. The AC was damn cold when we got there but enough to cool it down on hot days. Elevators were fast enough so no wait time. 2 blocks from the beach. And 2-4 minutes walk north east gets you to all the food stops like hula dogs...
The unit is located on the top floor of the building with breathtaking view just as pictured. The building is literally one block from the beach and is so close to everything. The inside of the unit is nicely decorated with good amenities that we really enjoyed. It’s clean and spacious enough for our family of four with two adult children. The unit can get a little hot with the morning sun but we found the air conditioning unit and the ceiling fans work sufficiently to cool the unit down. We were very pleased with the elevators as we never needed to wait that long. The only issue we found was that the sound of the TV was very poor, which made it hard to hear clearly. The sofa looked a bit dirty and the pull-out bed is a but short for an average male, but it was comfortable enough for my daughter. We really like the queen bed in the bedroom — firm supportive yet with enough cushion so it wasn’t hard, and we slept well on it because we couldn’t feel each other’s movements. The full bed in the bedroom is not as supportive, but my son who slept on it didn’t have any complaints, so I assumed it was good. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
This is difficult to review because I had no issues with the actual unit on where my family and I stayed, it was the Waikiki Banayan. It hardly felt like a relaxing vacation when there.
The fire alarm went off daily. First time was at 5:30AM when a female voice speaking in Japanese comes out of a speaker accompanied with alarms. Then in English stating there is an emergency and you need to exit the building immediately. Find out it was because someone on a different floor was smoking in their unit.
Second time it happened was following night when my kids were showering. They were hysterical. Had to quickly clothe them and then go down 37 flights of stairs and were outside the property for an hour. Police told me someone was cooking and created too much smoke that moved into hallway and set off alarms. My kids were traumatized and didn’t want to sleep at the Banyan the rest of our stay afraid the alarms would come on again.
Then there was the issue with the condo security. They didn’t seem to care when the wind blew a pool chair into the pool nearly crushing my kids but they sent a female guard out to tell me to get out of the pool because I wasn’t wearing proper swim attire. I was wearing board shorts that are swim trunks but go past the knees. I had to show her the mesh inside to show her they were in fact swim wear. Then she said I had to remove the swim floaty wrapped around my 4 yr old because it’s not allowed. I told her she doesn’t swim and it’s not a giant raft, we’re within the rules. She told me if I don’t like it go to the beach. Even the few people around us said they didn’t mind because it was a small floaty. On our last day there security told us and other guests to leave the hot tub because someone had pooped in the pool. How did it take this long for them to take action?!? They should have been out in front of this barricading the area off with signage.
Between the rude security and the poor communication of the Banayan not addressing the frequency of the fire alarms and warning people not to enter the pools due to fecal matter I would definitely not stay there again.
We had a lovely stay and enjoyed all the property had to offer including the location, amazing views of Diamond Head, access to Waikiki and the rest of the island, pool, and parking. Great property overall.
