The room felt newly refreshed. There was easy access by a short staircase from the parking lot to the room. The bed and couch were a bit too hard for my taste, but that’s a personal preference. It was great having a washer/dryer in the unit and also to get a room clean halfway through which I was not expecting.

Peaceful and quiet, a great place to unplug and detach from the modern world and all its amenities. The only down side is the outdoor shower. Basically you have to shower early while the sun is still out. We came back late to our cottage and opted to shower in the morning.

When checking in I was offered an upgrade to the room. Agent was not clear on cost. She said she could offer it at 50% discount and showed us a price not saying it was per night or with all other fee's that go along with it. I thought the price was the total amount for the stay. I was extremely shocked at check out and disappointed. The same agent basically said you signed for it and don't let the door hit you on the way out. We have enjoyed your resort, resorts for many years. This is the last time we will ever come to Mauna Lani. I can't believe I'm even taking the time to write this, that's how disappointed we are. J.
