"Great hotel! Beautiful view from the room! It is a bit of a walk from Nikko which can be lovely after eating way too much food for dinner. Taxis are fairly inexpensive back-and-forth. When I stayed, there was a food truck that showed up for breakfast and dinner options, this was fantastic! The quality of the food was really high. I didn’t try any of the food from the little store that they have on site, but the pizza did smell good. The laundry machines were always busy, so that’s something to be aware of. I would definitely stay again."

"Well located within walking distance to ropeway convenient for skiiers . Pension is clean and well kept . Very helpful and friendly pension owners who provided good advice on where to trek and visit within the vicinity . For travellers who don’t speak Japanese , owners can speak Mandarin & prepared tasty fried rice. 地点位于滑雪胜地，也可以去尾濑沼泽远足。民宿干净整洁，主人友善。"

"This ryokan was one of the absolute highlights of our Japan trip. As a couple travelling with two young adult kids, it was the perfect place for all of us to slow down and recharge after Tokyo. The biggest highlight was the four private onsens — no reservations needed, yet there was always at least one (often even more) available. It made everything feel so relaxed and effortless. The ryokan itself is small, intimate, and incredibly well thought out, with beautiful attention to detail and high-quality touches like POLA amenities. If you want to experience a true traditional ryokan, this is it. There were hardly any foreigners, and the staff spoke very little English — but somehow we managed just fine, which made it feel even more authentic. The secluded setting adds to that peaceful, escape-from-it-all vibe. The food deserves a special mention — we stayed for two nights and every breakfast and dinner was completely different and absolutely exquisite. It really elevated the whole experience. We were initially concerned about having no bathroom in the room, but it turned out to be the best thing — it gave us more reason to keep going back to the onsen. Our kids loved it so much they’ve already made us promise to return on our next Japan trip. Highly recommend. ✨"
