The hotel is not quite "ekimae" (in front of the station), but it's only a couple of blocks away. Friendly and solicitous staff went a long way toward making my stay enjoyable. And the price-performance is good, especially when Hiroshima hotels are full or crazily priced. One thing: I had to book a "smoking" room, because all the non-smoking rooms were booked. There's a reason they were all booked, Japan hoteliers: no one wants a smoking room, not even smokers. End smoking in hotel rooms!

A great boutique hotel, Japanese style room! The room is slightly small, but the Onsen on site is just brilliant! It is also near by local shopping district, and we are fortunately to see a night market on the day of visit! Highly recommended!

Decent Biz Hotel near the station and port. SuperHotels tend to have nice/fresh patisseries for breakfast, eggs & sausages not so appetizing though (bland/lukewarm). Staff were ok (checkin is 3pm though not 2.45pm or a bit earlier even if your room is ready). Mihara > meh but okonoumichi was nice (no food nor cafe on the island though)
