"Definitely the hotel with the best value for money in an ideal (near the beach) location in Rio. A peaceful, quiet, and safe spot just a few steps from Ipanema and the nightlife. The Deluxe Room on the 11th floor offers a decent view of the ocean; the room is a good size, and the breakfast is above the standard of a 3-star hotel. Definitely the choice for my next trip to Rio."

"We loved our stay at the Fairmont. We had a family suite which was perfect for a family of five. We also had the gold package which included access to the lounge. There was often food and drinks in there that was included in our package. This was a big help having kids and always having somewhere to go for food. The staff was incredibly helpful. The rooms were clean. They had access to the beach already set up, which made it very easy. I would highly recommend staying at the Fairmont if you’re bringing your family to Rio."

"The location of the property is convenient. I did not really use the facilites as the gym is very limited and cramped and the pool is more of a cold plunge. Breakfast is quite good but the room is too small for the number of guests at peak times. The room was clean but the air conditioning is too cold even when set to a higher temperture. The room has USB sockets but no plugs except in the bathroom. As my phone, like many modern phones, charges via USB-C I could only charge it in the bathroom which was annoying as I also use it as an alarm."

"The stay had some positives, but overall I couldn’t give it 5 stars. For the price, the hotel itself felt like it lacked amenities. The reservation I thought I booked was not the one I received, and the water pressure in the room was disappointing. When I brought up my concerns in person, some staff members seemed to have attitudes, which made the experience more frustrating. However, Eiden stood out and was the best employee there. He genuinely did everything he could to help and made the stay better despite the issues."
