Our place is perfect for family and friends or business. Brand new renovated and well equipped with all the essentials you will need after a day of exploring - you will LoVe your stay!

You will feel our nautical details in every room and can learn a lot about Whales at the same time if you like. The koholā (humpback whale) was well known to the early Hawaiians.

Our space offers a brand new Kitchen - designed in the colours of blue, white and Autumn Blush. The kitchen is well equipped as well. Another Highlight is the new renovated Bathroom especially the Shower - Throughout the home we have nice lighting plus ceilingfans and curtains in every room. The rooms are Breezy and have all the privacy you need to relax. Another Extra of this Home is also that we added a Brand new Washer and Dryer a guest feature as well as some Beach Essentials like Beach Towels for you to use so you do not have to bring it.

We are always available for our guests via phone call or text message or simply through the messenger just reach out to us we are happy to help.

Our single family home is located in Downtown Hilo with an upstairs and downstairs. You will have the Street level House all to your self with 2 Private entrances.

Wonderful stay

We had a great experience in Hilo thanks to our wonderful stay! Easy check in process, central location, great dining recommendations. The hosts provided water fun toys for the adults and kids (snorkeling, body boards, beach towels). Only wish our stay was longer!

Easy, Delightfully Quaint, Clean, & Generous.

So close to it all…necessities, restaurants, shopping, waterfalls, all the things; felt like everything was a 10 minute trip at most. We felt right at home. Communication from host was concise, consistent, and ahead of schedule. We were given pertinent details and pictures of the location so we could find it easily after a long flight (we were exhausted) as well as recommendations on where to go. Love this place! Also…it’s adorable.

Great house and experience

We had a great time at this property. Everything was well thought out (extra bedding, crib for kids, stuff for cooking), and we liked the small touches like the coffee and treats. The hosts were very helpful and communicated well during the process. We would be looking to stay here again the next time we come to Hawaii!

This was the best place ever! Walking distance to downtown restaurants, shops, and the ocean. The beds were super comfortable and the apartment was clean and updated with all sorts of cooking equipment. The host was communicative. Instructions were simple. Would definitely stay there again!

Very cool place in Hilo

We loved this house. It had everything we needed, even olive oil and coffee, a great washer and dryer, and amazing decor. We spent a lot of time marvelling at all the whale-themed items and choosing our favourites. The beds are very soft, our preference would be for firmer ones, but otherwise perfect for us.

Merrie Monarch Special!

We stayed here for Merrie Monarch and it was in the perfect location, central to everything! Parking was always available, the property was clean and stocked with everything we needed. The property manager/cleaners even mailed a necklace to us that my son left behind!! We will definitely stay here again. Mahalo!!!

Amazing rental - Highly recommended!

So we originally booked a room at a resort in Hilo, but decided to change and book this instead because we decided having two bedrooms was a better option. And we were glad that we did! This was much better than a small hotel room and had everything we needed. The best part, lots of places are within walking distance. For food, I recommend the Coco Cantina (2 min walk), it had an amazing $12 lunch special (M-F). The farmer's market is a must. And for groceries, the Sack N Save (owned by Foodland), is a great option. Would absolutely stay here again.

A lovely stay in Hilo

The place was terrific and the location was central to everything we needed for a week's adventure. It is done in a lovely high-end style - more than I expected! The hidden gem was the bathroom with a huge, welcoming shower. The place got hot during the mid-day, but we were always out at the beaches or other sights and the fans and windows were plenty for us as the evening rolled around. The team was responsive when we had a few questions and super helpful. I can't imagine a stay going much better.

Hilo Getaway

A comfortable, well-equipped house close to the center of Hilo. The kitchen had everything we needed for meal preparation. The absence of air conditioning was not a problem. Open windows did allow for some street noise, but the house made us feel like we were part of the neighborhood.

Whaler's Inn

Very nice house in Hilo neighborhood. My wife said it was "adorable". Two blocks from the local grocery store and within walking distance of other shops and stores. The kitchen was well equipped with utensils and dinnerware. If you plan on using the gas grill you'll need the small, detachable gas cannister like Coleman makes. The coqui frogs are loud at night, so if you haven't been to the Big Island before, be prepared. They actually have a jar of ear plugs for guests.

Perfect home base for Big Island East-side adventures

The cottage was charming and everything we needed for our 2 night stay. We wanted to have a relaxed visit to Volcanoes National Park (i.e. not driving to/from Kona side of island all in one day), visit a couple of waterfalls and do a zip line tour, and Whaler’s Inn was perfect. Fun decor, a well equipped kitchen, and comfortable bedding. The extra fans were very appreciated both to drown out the sounds of nature (birds/frogs) at night/early morning and to cool down the house. The house is centrally located with respect to Hilo - everything we needed was within a mile. If we come back to the area, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Nice spot in Hilo

We were pleased with the accommodations and would consider staying there again. The location is good and neighborhood is okay. Seems like a lot of young renters. The interior of the apartment is clean and VERY functional. The beds were fine. Hilo is rainy and muggy so there is time involved with windows open, intermittent windows closed, and running the ceiling fans is essential for comfort! AC would have been nice as the insect and street noise was significant but open windows were necessary for nighttime comfort.

Extremely well thought out and stocked rental

I've never seen a place as wonderfully stocked as this kitchen was! It was a lovely rental for our few days in Hilo. Large and full of eco-friendly cleaning and storage options. Given that it was December and it wasn't really possible to ever close all of the windows, , I wish there had been some form of space heater, but that's about the only negative. Be prepared for frogs and if you have specific earplug needs -bring them! I'd happily stay here again if I find myself back in Hilo.
