"Our families had a wonderful time at The Dinney last week when we booked Kingfisher and The Rookery. It was a super setting for us all to come together in comfort to celebrate our Golden Wedding anniversary. All the information and photos on the website about the Rookery and Kingfisher were accurate and a true reflection of the quality of the accommodation. The individual bedrooms were spacious and beautifully decorated and the beds were really comfortable. The kitchens were very well equipped for cooking and eating in large numbers and the dining table was generously sized. There was ample room outside to enjoy the good weather we had lovely garden chairs and a new barbecue. Karen and Keith were friendly and extremely helpful hosts. All in all, spacious, beautiful accommodation in a superb setting. Go there and experience it yourself !!"

"Staff friendly and food reasonable good, but disability access and condition of property not as advertised on Hotels.com - Hotels.com description and photos very misleading. The property isn't disability friendly, the access to "ground floor" rooms (which aren't part of "hotel"), is quite uneven terrain, not entirely safe in a wheelchair. There's a gap between front door of room, so direct exposure to outside, hence freezing cold air just came blasting in and also an open gateway to creepy crawlies coming in, we had to kill a number of insects during our 3 night stay, which really freaked me out as I'm an arachnophobe. The shower chair wasn't very secure it kept slipping. There are no disability grab rails anywhere in the bathroom, and there's a steep ramp up to the door, which I wouldn't have been able to wheel myself up, so thankfully I wasn't alone and my husband struggled to push me up. The door ways were quite narrow and small threshold steps everywhere, so good I could get out of wheelchair to step over, though I could easily have fallen if I lost feeling in my leg which happens all the time, without warning hence me being in a wheelchair. The other really annoying part of our stay was the extremely poor WiFi reception, so couldn't do amazon prime telly on demand, or hubby watch favourite YouTube, cause that's the relaxing things we want to do when we go away for a long weekend, sightseeing is difficult in a wheelchair. But staff very friendly, nice people. "

"What a lovely week I’ve had at this beautiful lodge, I don’t know where to start with how great the place was, it is perfect for time away to just relax and unwind, the lodge is equipped with high quality furniture and everything was provided that you would expect from a luxury lodge and more, we were definitely spoilt.We did rearrange the lounge furniture as it wasn’t making use of all the space we thought, we moved it back once we were leaving, we noticed our neighbours had moved their sofas too.The welcome supplies were very much appreciated, our dogs were even left treats too. I wanted to stay there forever. There’s only three lodges and if you wanted somewhere peaceful to go for a family gathering or even a girly weekend the lodges would be perfect.I have a special birthday coming up and I shall be booking this again and again and again."

"This is our second year staying at the Kingfisher cottage and we have had another brilliant weekend. The space is perfect for multiple families getting together and is really set up for big groups. The hosts were so helpful with helping with check in/check out times and all our other needs (travel cots, high chairs etc). Thank you for another lovely stay!"

"Clean, comfortable and high quality accommodation in gorgeous surroundings. Accessing the lodge was easy and straightforward from the instructions given. The lodge was really well equipped and information pack was useful. The only downside is that the veranda is not enclosed so although it is a dog friendly lodge this was an issue for us as it was not secure."

"Booked this cottage for a family long weekend get together. The cottage was chosen for its size and location as we had members from the north and south coming. Our party included one child of a year old, two teenagers and nine adults of various ages up to 83. There was plenty of room so you weren’t on top of each other and no shortage of places to sit. A pool table for some fun and a full sky package If the weather was poor. The views are fantastic, the Ship inn minutes away and some great walks. Steam railway also right on the doorstep. Being a cottage you did have to mind your head with low beams a plenty. Not one complaint from the party. Recommend to anyone for a nice break away"
