We had a peaceful 3 day weekend. It wasn’t cool enough for a fire, but it was still cozy. The house had all the supplies we needed, including coffee filters and a choice of 2 coffeemakers - Drip and Keurig with disposable filter, too! Nice location, close to both downtown Highlands and Cashiers. We did lots of hiking, ate great food and slept well! It was just what we needed.
Great 1 bedroom/1 loft home. Fireplace and grill area was nice. I think this is my 4th stay at this property. Highly recommend for couples and families.
Perfect little mountain house in a quiet area. We loved the wood burning fireplace. The drive into town was short and easy. Pet friendly was a big plus for this trip!
Great little cabin in the woods & convenient to town. Perfectly comfortable for our family of four and we enjoyed being able to bring our dogs with us. Communication with Chris was great leading up, during and post stay.
We had a wonderful stay at the Treehouse. It’s so close to Highlands and not far from Cashiers either…perfect location. Very quiet little street and minutes to several great hiking spots. Bed was comfortable and there were plenty of towels in the bathrooms. Great pet friendly house!
Wonderful house surrounded by beautiful trees. Location was quiet but easy drive to both Cashiers and the Highlands. Beautiful views. Loved the firepit and the fireplace. Cabin well equipped. Hope to visit again.
We treated our Mother in law to her first stay in Highlands, and this was the perfect cabin for us! It was close to town, plenty of space, and a cozy fireplace for us to sit by in the evenings. We had our 5 month old baby and dog with us as well and it couldn’t have been easier. Thank you for the great stay!
Great place to stay in the Highlands-
Cashiers area. Close to good restaurants, food shopping, trails, dog parks, etc. Located in a gorgeous wooded area— saw a bear and an amazing rainbow—- but close to neighbors and a Dollar General. Hosts were very responsive and the place and area were very dog friendly.
We enjoyed our brief stay at The Treehouse. Our family of 4 had a wonderful time in the surrounding Highlands and Cashiers area, and this cabin is conveniently located between the two. While we were mostly out exploring all the area had to offer, we did enjoy the fire pit at night. Having dry, chopped wood on the porch was a huge plus. The beds were comfy and the cabin was well furnished. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
We were looking for a quaint, quiet, peaceful place to escape from the heat & humidity at home….the treehouse was just what we were hoping for! The house met all of our needs and the surroundings were even more peaceful than I could have imagined. The location was “spot on”, being just a short drive to downtown Highlands and the waterfalls. Prior to our trip, I reached out to the owners, and they promptly responded. It was an absolutely lovely getaway home and one that I would highly recommend for couples and small families 😀
Another great trip to the Treehouse. Everything was perfect. House is so nice and comfortable. Towels/linens being provided is a plus. It was so convenient to have a washer/dryer. And this time, we got to see a bear. We were so excited. It was just walking down the street in front of the house.
Cozy cabin at roughly the midpoint between highlands and cashiers on hwy64 in a quiet neighborhood off the hwy. The fireplace is wood burning which is key to a great stay in the mountains, but is a bit on the small side. But we made it work and enjoyed the mountain fresh air on the back porch during the day and a warm fire inside on the cool nights.
A sweet, fairly well-equipped cabin in the beautiful woods outside Highlands. It was so cool and pleasant on the deck where we spent much of our time, so lovely in the mornings! Beautiful Japanese maples! To be honest, the cabin could use a good deep cleaning. Outdoor spaces, particularly, were not ready for visitors. Location is quite good. We enjoyed our stay. By the way, there is no sign saying “Treehouse” so go by the address!
A nice, peaceful, well furnished retreat. Loved the porch and rockers and enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evenings. We tried a couple of the recommended restaurants in town and they were great. Host was responsive with questions. With the open loft setup it is probably better for a family with children than 4 adults in my opinion. But, it was GREAT for my wife and I. Even with good directions we found it a bit hard to find initially but loved the remote feel to it. We plan to stay again next year for a family wedding in Highlands. Highly recommend.
The second time we stayed at this property and it was a wonderful respite from the busyness of 3 days of wedding partying. Weather was perfect. Slight issue with combo to get in door but contacted hosts and they took care of it immediately. They have been very responsive throughout. Property a bit hard to find on initial stay but the seclusion is part of the charm for us. It's only about 8 minutes from all the shops and restaurants though. Will stay again in the future. Thank you Chris and Sarah!!!
