"This was a very cheap hotel for one night and so you cannot expect very much but it was not great. Staff were very lovely and helpful, but the room smelled odd, the bathroom did not lock and the bathroom was not clean. I have stayed in similar hotels before which were cheap and cheerful but at least clean and maintained. A shame, just needs a bit of TLC "

"Our stay was only a fleeting overnight whilst travelling back up to Calais to grab Le Shuttle home. Area as a whole was very pleasant, but the hotel is slightly out of town, requiring either a decent walk or a taxi into town if you want to enjoy a drink. We arrived on a Sunday evening but the kitchen was closed so the dinner option was limited to small charcuterie boards in the bar. Hotel was overall very nice, clean and pretty well appointed. "
