Every morning we were dodging dozens of grasshoppers, and had a large scorpion spider and cockroach in our room. I understand this is the climate and the ground floor, but some better insulation around doors would help keep those out. Otherwise, it was a great stay."

"This is an older motel. In my opinion, it is more than a 2 star motel. All rooms are first floor, guaranteed no climbing stairs to a room (-: My room was very clean. The building trim could use some paint to enhance the exterior. Shower was a smaller stall, but was fine for me. I plan to go back again this year for relaxation and exploring. It is very close to Shields Date Farm, where there is a restaurant, date-related gift shop, and The Garden Walk, a free, beautifully done meandering walkway with sculptures and scriptures depicting the entire life of Jesus Christ The Village Coffee Shop is a great place for breakfast; it is located in Citrus Plaza, which is about a mile southwest.
