"Noisy and very cold room. Some outside air condition unit was making noise between 5:30 to 22:10 every single day. Heating the room was a challenge with no chance to win."

"We had a fantastic two night stay at this hotel which had everything we needed from a comfortable bed, clean and well equipped rooms to a breakfast that could not be faulted. This hotel was well located for us with a Toby Carvery next door, with a huge shopping complex approx 5 minutes drive away, with all your well named high street stores M&S, Primark etc. even a Cinema and bowling alley and a varied choice of restaurants. If travelling into York, leave the car at the hotel, an Uber to York Minster cost less than £9 and took all the hassle out of trying to find a place to park and getting us to where we needed to be. All the staff were extremely friendly nothing was too much trouble for any of them. Thank you for such a huge Yorkshire welcome and would not hesitate with recommending this hotel to family and friends and will definitely be returning."

"Near to centre of York - lovely hotel "

"The staff were very helpful. The bed was very comfortable. Room 401 is in the old part of the hotel, right next to a strongly sprung wooden fire door, which banged badly. The plumbing is old and noisy. The room looks out onto a small dingy untidy courtyard. The car park has many non working light bulbs. The hotel is conveniently located near the outer ring road."

"Really enjoyed my stay. Was very relaxing. Home from home not like the average hotel. Good selection of drinks at the bar and in your room. Big dispensers of shampoo/body wash, conditioner, hand soap and body lotion in my Queen room. The Queen room is perfect for one guest. Absolutely delicious breakfasts. Very friendly staff. Will definitely return on my next visit to York."
