Escape to secluded Serenity Cottage but know you're only 2 miles from Alpine Helen. Serenity Cottage is great for a romantic get-away or a fun trip with family and/or friends. Well appointed 2 bed (3 beds), 2 bath home nestled against Smithgall Woods on 2 acres of wooded peace. With new King in Master, New Queens in loft Serenity Cottage is the perfect place to get away from it all! This cabin offers plenty of room for both indoor and outdoor gatherings including, 4 person heated spa, outdoor fire pit, horseshoes, cornhole, outdoor seating, game room and so much more. FAST fiber optic WIFI, if you must work.

Serenity Cottage has a huge deck outside for all your entertaining and enjoyment. Also outside are horseshoes, cornhole, firepit with wood supplied. There is a carport for covered parking. Inside you're greeted with a open concept view from living to dining to the kitchen. All new appliances, new dished, new glasses, new flatware, new pots, pans, new Tupperware storage, new Keurig with coffee, creamer, sugars and some seasonings are also provided. No need to bring any bottled water as the WELL WATER IS LUSCOUS. I hear it cures baldness....I'm still testing that theory. The master is downstairs and has a new king mattress and an en-suite. The loft bedroom has 2 new queen mattresses/foundations. Also there is a full bath upstairs. Both bedrooms and baths are stocked with new linens, towels, and washcloths. Each bathroom has soap and shampoo/conditioners. The property has 2 external cameras primarily for security when the cabin is vacant. There are no internal cameras.

We had a wonderful one week vacation with my wife and our 3 yo son. Cottage was in excellent condition, clean, organized with many activities included. Location was perfect, secluded, but close to Helen. We will definately come back again next year. Thank you David for being a great host!

Stop looking anywhere else. This cozy cottage is the perfect location to hide away for a carefree stay. The host and hostess has provided everything you could ever need to relax and enjoy yourself between outings to the local attractions. Centrally located to enjoy Helen and surrounding towns with little travel required. The best stay for today’s dollar.

We had a wonderful experience in this cabin over spring break. The cabin is a short distance to downtown Helen and hiking. Our kids loved the horseshoes, corn hole and fire pit for smores. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in the area.

My husband and I, along with our 2 kids stayed in this cabin - our son is 13 and our daughter is 17. If I could rate this home 10000 I would! It is absolutely PERFECT! It was decorated BEAUTIFULLY for Christmas, super clean, and have alll the touches one could ask for- down to liquid soap to bathe with waiting for you in the bathroom. The upstairs loft was great to give my husband and I privacy. David the owner was so kind and easy to work with. Hands down, one of the BEST rentals we’ve stayed in this year! Can’t wait to book it again!

We loved our stay at this little cabin- it was the perfect location for us to explore Helen Geogia. The cabin had everything we needed! The host was great and responded to my question very quickly- and he was right the Edison lights make the yard magical. Great for visiting the area and just hanging out with family!

We had a great trip with our daughter, her husband and toddler. It was just as advertised, comfy and clean. Quick drive into Helen. The beautiful fall trees were still glorious and quite a few Christmas displays were up too, so some of both seasons. We were glad we brought a baby gate to block the steep stairway to the loft, although it required bungee cords to reach the railing. We would stay here again :)

Easy booking, friendly & courteous host, the cabin was extremely clean from the kitchen to the bathrooms, very cozy, fully loaded, located in a beautiful woodsy area, 2 miles from Helen, GA's downtown tourist area. We had a great time, enjoyed the peace and quiet. The property has outside games, beautiful lighting all around and a very large deck to just sit outside and listen to the forest. Outdoor grilling available. The carport was a plus it rained at times. Overall wonderful get away for two or a family of six. We Definitely recommend it.

Cabin was great for our quick weekend getaway! David is a great host and his cabin is well maintained and very clean. It's well-stocked with blankets, pillows, kitchen items and even some snacks! Fabulous deck wrapping around the cabin provided some nice and peaceful quiet time outside to read while listening to the birds and the trees. The welcome book with guidelines and instructions was perfect. The cabin is a little more "in the woods" than we expected, so we didn't venture out in the dark, but we were there for a short stay, so perhaps for a longer stay we would have used all the amenities. First time renting a cabin for us and would do it again.

This property is beautiful! The king bed was super comfortable, which is a must for any amount of relaxation. Everything was really clean, and the fridge was brand new. We enjoyed the remote location, though arriving at night was a little treacherous. The road in is one lane wide and the section to the property isn’t driven often so there were a lot of pine needles and leaves covering the road which made it difficult to navigate, coupled with it drizzling and no lights on the road. It would have been nice if the front porch light was on at the property when we arrived but that’s really the only issue. We did have an issue with the living room tv reverting to “demo-store mode”, and although unable to troubleshoot, the property owner did respond quickly to our message. We were able to find instructions online to fix. The property is a very short ride to Main Street, yet when you return, you are secluded and surrounded by woods for a truly remote, private experience. We would definitely return to this property and rent from this owner again.
