This award winning resort offers tennis, swimming, hot tub, sauna and work-out facilities just a short walk away (included in your rental). The resort is also features a breathtaking 18 hole golf course. If you desire nature Mud Creek Falls is just around the corner from our home. With so many things to do you will want to come back for more. Our cabin has undergone a complete renovation and is very Senior Citizen friendly. The master bedroom features a king size adjustable bed with massage. The main floor bedroom is perfect for older guest that do not want to navigate stairs. This bedroom also features a Queen size adjustable bed with massage. We are also pet friendly. Our home is your home and we would be thrilled to host both you and your families next adventure...

Exactly what we were looking for. A place with good golf and hiking close by. The pool nearby was an added bonus. And the owner really took pride in his property wanted to make sure we had a great stay.

We had a great time! Cabin is just like the pictures and even better. Recently renovated and clean. Host was always reachable and on top of any questions we may had. I loved the place, the surroundings, the views!!!

Great location with lots to do with teens

We enjoyed our time at Foxlair. It was a great cabin and great location. With 3 levels, we were able to spread out as well. So much to do with our 4 kids all around the area. Thank you!!

2 week rental July 2024

The house was accurately described and the photos represent the home. We found everything to be clean and well organized and exceptionally well stocked for our stay. We were able to do many day trips from this “home base”. The community is safe and the home offers a lot of privacy. We had a few issues that the owner and his local caretaker solved the same day. Overall it was a great stay and we hope to come back again.

Charming cabin in the Georgia Mountains!

We have just returned from a week in this "little/large cabin" which is on three levels and has oodles of room. The decorations are just lovely and when we were there full of lovely colorful and tasteful Fall items all throughout the house. So comfortable and charming and equipped with everything you could need, including masses of clothes hangers in the closets... so unusual! We could go on and on detailing all the wonderful features but it would take up too much space. Suffice to say we will hope to return to enjoy it again, maybe more than once! You cannot go wrong making this your vacation destination.

Great location

We very much enjoyed our stay at Foxlair! It is easy to access off of main roads but feels secluded and cozy on arrival. The location is convenient to visiting shops and restaurants between Clayton, GA and Highlands, NC. The host Bobby was easy to communicate with and made us feel like he would be readily available for any questions or issues. We highly recommend this rental for couples or groups visiting the area!

Fun time at Foxlair mountain cabin

We rented this cabin because we were attending a wedding at The Vineyard at 37 High Holly which was just 6 minutes away. The location couldn't have been better. We also hiked an easy nearby trail with waterfalls recommended by the owners. The cabin was so welcoming, complete with fall decor and lots of foxes in various forms. It was spotlessly clean and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. They have a wonderful firepit out back that we enjoyed one evening. There is a lot to see and do in this area, so we hope to come back and would definitely rent this cabin again.

Even Better in Person

This property is fabulous. 5 adults and our dogs stayed here and the property is so much larger than it appears. The master is downstairs with a private living area, and outdoor access. The waterfall on site is beautiful! Completely private, yet within 20 minutes of Highlands! We would absolutely stay here again.

Short Family Getaway

My family celebrated my father’s 77th birthday in Foxliar. We loved the cute decorations and upgrades at this cabin and it was close to restaurants in Clayton and Highlands that we enjoy. We will definitely be back!

Family Trip turned Girls Trip

We had originally booked this cabin for a multi-family trip, but due to unforeseen events this changed to a girls trip. This cabin is wonderful for either. Three levels give privacy and the living room/ multiple outdoor areas give a place to meet up and talk. I absolutely love the location, set up, decorations and ease or renting this cabin. I really hope to make this a yearly trip!

Very Nice Clean Cabin

We enjoyed our family stay. The cabin was good size in a very nice neighborhood. All the amenities were as promoted. Did not have a chance to use the amenities like the pool or gym but they looked nice and clean. Everything as promised. Not a negative but if you are looking for wide open space outside with a view this is not the spot. It is very wooded but has great roads to access. Was extremely comfortable and out family had a great time. Would stay again.

Cozy home away from home

This cabin in the woods is our ideal home away from home and Bobby was a host in making sure that our check-in was a smooth as could be. It was our kids first time in the mountains so we really didn't utilize any bedrooms other than the master as they were nervous about just how dark it gets in the woods so they opted to nestle downstairs, one on the couch and one on the floor just a few steps from mom, dad and good old Scout (dog) lol. It is just minutes from great hiking, dry tubing, gem mining, shopping, etc. So many great little Cafe's (Clayton Cafe was our kids favorite) within 10 minutes drive. We are already planning our next visit here if they will have us!
